Getting an exclusive contract to 1 company probably helped; and the dance club tours she did for awhile. Being at the top allows her to charge a pretty penny.

I've been told that Amber Lynn used to get $25K per week on the dance circuit (before all of the polaroid money). I'd bet that Jenna gets a bunch more than that.
I think there were several factors which helped her along. First she got the great contract with Wicked but what got her that contract--- She had a certain look which just resonated with a lot of porn viewers like it or not. Jenna also did a lot of hot sex scenes, no anal, but she would take a great facial which on that gorgeous face really helped. I also give Jenna credit for being smart and setting up her website for which she works very hard and she certainly knows how to promote herself. Like Jenna or not she has marketed herself better than or as good as any other starlet going today.

I don't think this last point can be emphasised enough. I think there are a lot of girls that have just as much talent as her, but simply have no clue how to market themselves.
Jenna has struck the balance between being viewed as a "sweet" attainable gal per her visits on the Howard Stern show, her role in the Stern movie, Private Parts , and mainstream appearances on things like E!'s "Wild On " show and a dirty girl in her movies, who takes it is in the ass, etc. She is the consumate Porn Star, who, if she likes could make it in main stream media, but she would probably have to take a pay cut!
I like to consider myself a little bit of a Jenna afficianodo so like most have stated she has been able to promote herself well enough to deman big money when it comes to contracts or what have you. She originally did a few movies with Vivid, and then of course signed that exclusive deal with Wicked which gave her a big pay day because Wicked couldn't pass up her look and let someone else have it. And then of course her different websites have helped her get where she wants to go especially clubjenna.com and the increasing amount of money it costs...
and just like was stated a little above she is able to command a huge chunk of change in the Feature business. With her being one of if not the best known porn star in the business she is able to make the most money just like Alex Rodriguez in baseball being one of the most recognizable in that business.
Just wait till Jenna retires again which she has said she would do eventually and see who steps into her spot, and then we will see how they become a huge multimillionaire or some crap.
I like to think that Jenna is at the stage in her career where she wouldn't mind taking a pay-cut. She has such a personal wealth that money for it's own sake wont matter- ambition is another matter. Jenna is a CEO of a massive diversified company. Clubjenna.com, merchandising, self promotion (I noticed Jenna back in 1998 because she was THE face on the internet)`mainstream' ambition, dancing, and running the careers of at least four other porn stars...a telecommunications company, her own production company...shrewd investments....all this makes the millions...hard work, personality, ‘personability’, time for her fans...all this makes the person. Jenna has a largesse of personality that few other stars, let alone porn stars, can match...flamboyance, style, `girl next door' and her chameleon ability to be other sexy characters...all this made the money too- and brought in the awards, and numerous first time awards in one go (so young), that made Jenna her fame and her millions...well deserved. Some other porn stars have done some of the things that Jenna has in her career but few have done them all.
I can honestly say that I've seen a great number of porn stars with similar looks and (some) better sex scenes and scenarios than Jenna's. Some porn stars are even apparently more sexy on screen than Jenna...if not sexier then certainly as sexy. But Jenna has a rare extra something few porn stars have. Jenna is truly wonderful to her fans and is a woman who is more beautiful in the meeting than in her pictures. She is clever and witty, rich, smart, shrewd and big-hearted, all-in-one. All this makes her much sexier than sex or looks alone. But her personality and personability add to her legend quality, add to the promotional success- and this in turn makes (or made)the money. Does this sound too sycophantic? Good! I love Jenna for my own private and very special reasons. And I don't know another woman more deserving of my admiration or her success.
There is one more reason why Jenna has made her millions; good career choices and the right people around her at the right time- plus, working closely with those who are both part of her business and private life, having those she trusts and loves as key members of her business empire. Her fiancé, now husband, has played no small part in Jenna's recent financial success, stability and happiness...and I wish them, both, well.
