Click to expand It's a reality TV show on VH1. It's a spin-off of a show called Celebrity Rehab Basically some d-list celebrities going through rehab at a place run by Dr. Drew from Loveline. It is ridiculous. If any of the participants were serious about their issues they wouldn't be dealing with them on a reality TV show. It stinks of fame whoring. But, anyway one of the "celebrities" is Shifty Binzer, the frontman of the band Crazy Town (they had that stupid Butterfly song back in 2001). The staff tell her she has to leave because the house is supposed to be a sober environment. She starts to talk to the staff about needing help for addiction. They tell her they can't help her, she needs to go to a real treatment center, like a detox facility. Supposedly they can arrange that. Instead she takes off. It's all played up and edited dramatically. Don't know how much of it is real. [Link]

Regarding the celebrities not being serious about the program, I certainly wouldn't say they all go into it serious, but many leave having been very affected.
