Jenna Presley

The person I'm writing about left porn, became a minister, and goes by her real name (or outside of porn name) now. However, I don't think we're allowed to post their "real names" on this thread, so I'm referring to her by her porn name she no longer goes by. I'm not writing this as a fan, instead as somebody who has been a sex worker and done some videos. I'm not very familiar with her videos and with all due respect, am not posting this message to express interest in watching them. Thus, this thread is different from many on here.

"Jenna Presley" (putting her porn name in quotes since she no longer uses this name or does porn) left porn, found Jesus, became Christian, and speaks out against porn much like "Rocco Reed" and they actually did a discussion together on YouTube. In fact, the reason I know of them is because their podcasts and interviews keep coming up on my YouTube feed. I'm older than them, wasn't in porn at the same time, and didn't know of them until after they left porn and spoke out against the industry. However, I learned they were both major stars.

Though I support their right to their religious beliefs, their decision to leave porn, and I hope they're in as great a place in their lives as it comes across, I'm writing this post mainly about "Jenna Presley" because she keeps bringing up this sexist, misogynistic, slut-shaming Jezebel image from the Bible. Though I cannot speak for everybody, this isn't drawing me in or attracting me to Chritianity or her evangelism. In fact, quite the opposite. I prefer a spiritual path that is more affirming to women and our sexuality.

If I'm ashamed of anything, it's living in a society where sex workers are so stigmatized and hated, and subject to this "Jezebel" type shaming. My criticisms of the porn industry are about just that - the industry- not the sex workers who perform.
