I checked out Jenna's IAFD videography and she's really only done about 40-50 movies where she's done a sex performance. The rest are non-sex roles in things like the AVN Awards videos and compilations. Teagan in her first six months in the business did more sex scenes than Jenna in 11 years I think. more proof that Jenna is the smartest girl ever to enter the jizz biz. [Link]

Yes, she's probably what all porn girls, (or anybody else, for that matter), should aspire to be. An individual who's at the top of their profession and has reached a point where they pretty much control their own career and destiny. But aside from the off screen characteristics I mentioned above, I don't think there is anything at all special or remarkable about her. Certainly not what I've seen of her onscreen. I just think she was in the right place at the right time, and smart enough to take advantage of the explosion of the porn industry in the past 15 years. When the big wave came to really cause porn to blow up into the mainstream, Jenna was on it much like those who got in on the ground floor at MicroSoft or Apple 25 years ago. Jenna onscreen has always left me wondering, "Huh? Just what IS the big deal? Why is this girl on Stern all the time, and who made her the Goddess of Porndom?" I've been serious into porn for over 30 years and have NEVER been moved to buy Jenna, or even watch anything by her more than once. Maybe because I don't have anything to do with Vivid and Wicked and the other feature outfits, and don't care about the almighty "contract" crowd, but I would go a long way into the hundreds of porn girls that have moved me over the years, before I got to Jenna. If, I ever got to her. To me, her movies were always like the gay, bi, and she-male movies in my porn store. Yeah, I saw them. Yeah, I knew they were there, and yeah I knew that somebody was renting/buying them, but it wasn't me or anybody I knew. But Jenna knew how and when to work it. She knew which way the wind was blowing, and knew how to take advantage of doors when they opened, so I can't begrudge her her status. I just know enough not to believe the hype. Still, because of porn's success and evolution, and the way that it is now pushing up against the mainstream, a new girl coming into the business today, like a Teagan , has virtually no chance to set a course and follow a path to take her to Jenna status. Porn has become just too specialized and compatmentalized. Especially in gonzo. The landscape is different and every day more and more beautiful and younger ones walk through the door. Teagan has to do these kind of movies to become successful because thats where the market is. Its a different porn generation. I think Teagan can become a big named star (if she isn't already). She is intelligent and her performances are improving every time. I think there are ALOT, and I mean alot of starlets out in the porn world who can become as famous as they want to. You want to really know who the next Jenna Jameson is, it is Jesse Jane, she is Brilliant, drooling with sex appeal, taking all the mainstream press out there that anybody can get. She is beautiful, perfect body, nice personality, doesn’t do drugs, does not drink and get HI on sets, does great scenes, I guarantee that she will be the next big thing in the adult business. Thanks for saving me the need to come up with my own reply , that's exactly what I was gonna say . I'd probably add too that gonzo and features are like apples and oranges on this issue . And while a girl like Teagan might look like a huge deal to the fairly insular crowd of raincoaters , in the mainstream world she has virtually no exposure . To get noticed means advertising which in turn means bucks , and that's something that only feature companies seem to consider a sound investment on a large scale and a consistent basis . Jenna has had that investment and it's paid off big time . I guess the question for Teagan is whether she ever intended to be a big porn star or just to make a whole pile of dough before cutting and running . That's the way i found out who she was. I have never been a fan of her movies or style, but she's a damn good busniess woman. Jenna's well known, but she isn't repsected in the "mainstream" I don't think any pornstar ever will. Teagan reminds me more of Ginger Lynn. She's not afraid to try most things. Being a Gonzo fan, I think she could be bigger than Jenna in the world of porn. I think she has a bigger fan base now. Jenna has excluded things from her career that could make her bigger in porn. Having lots of money and fame should be a separate issue from being a great pornstar. Jewel De' Nyle was a great pornstar, and a great business. Gonzo is the future. Jenna, Howard Stern, the rise of the Internet, VIVID all played a big role in the mainstreaming of porn - where most people started publically admitting to watching porn, enjoying porn. Technology had a lot to do with it too - the Internet and cable. The home VCR created the modern XXX movie biz but people watched them in a clandestine way, millions of people knew the first true superstars of porn, Ginger Lynn, Traci Lords, Christy Canyon but they wouldn't likely tell their neighbors or the guys at work about their porn collection - you might share your collection with close buddies. Yhe changing world that gave birth to Jenna Jameson can only happen once - Jenna will be talked and written about until she's 90 years old. When people say 'the next Jenna Jameson' we're talking about the next true superstar of porn, a girl who stands out above the crowd and becomes a household name. That will happen again - it's going to happen alot more that girls from porn become mainstream pop culture stars. Teagan has a shot at it but it won't happen if she remains a gonzo girl, she needs the push and cable/satellite exposure of VIVID to go to that next level where Jay Leno making a joke requires the name of a pornstar and instantly the name Teagan Presley drops out of his mouth. With all the celebs lately having their home sex videos exposed or leaked by themselves or people they know the line between porn and mainstream is getting blurred more. Jenna had a chance to move into mainstream acting, she really didn't want it bad enough but the doors were halfway open to her. If Jenna had taken a major role in an independent mainstream film or even a low budget studio film and knocked people's socks off with her performance she'd have made the complete crossover. Future porn girls will be given that opportunity. And you're going to see alot more mainstream celebs with home sex videos coming to the surface to boost their careers and Q factors. To me there will never be another Jenna Jameson in the same regard. She changed acceptance levels and really in some regards opened the door for the super hotties to flood into the business. Since she did it already, I don't think another girl will come in and ever jump porn up the ladder like that again, especially if the crackdowns begin if Bush gets reelected. Maybe years and years from now, but not real soon in my oppinion. Jenna to me is about absolute perfection. She has about the prettiest face I have ever seen, and the rest of her is not far behind, she looks just as good if not better in person, and the one time I met her a few years back she seemed to be a genuinly nice person to be around. I have most of her movies, and I cannot say there is one I have seen where her performance was not exceptional. She is completely erotic and sexy in her performances, eager and vibrant, and that look she gives while giving head is something to behold. She virtually never looks downtroden or unenthused I don't see how one could ask for more than that, yeah she doesn't do the circus act stuff, but so what that doesn't take away from the perforance of the stuff she does do. She has class, elagance and beauty, combined with charisma and savy, that has gotten her to the top, If she is not your cup of joe, that is fine, but some are trying to pass her rise off to nothing more than coincidence, and that just is not true. I'm not a huge Teagan fan, but I have seen plenty of her work, she is great, very cute, a good but not overly enthusiastic performer, and more than you could ask for from a porn performer. I'm sure she has many of the traits that Jenna has, but so do plenty of performers. Teagan is the hot ticket right now, and ever since Jenna, the hot ticket girls are always compared and pondered as the next JJ, but truth be told, I don't see anything that puts Teagan on a pedastal above several other ultra cute gonzo performers. Her looks may put her above some, but I would not go so far as to say anything puts her above Jenna Haze or Taylor Rain or others in that vien of performers. And I'm being generous on being that lofty. It's especially gonna be hard for her to make those kinds of gains after being a do everything gonzo girl for so long, not saying it won't happen but that always seems to damage thier rise to ultra stardom, and we don't even know if Teagan would want to go the more mainstream route or how long she may plan on staying in the business, so who knows really. Honestly I don't see the level of buzz outside this forum that is here inside it, I'm sure teagan is a major rising star, but I don't really see anybody pushing her to those levels of comparison. While Teagan is only in her first year, she has pretty much done everything which still carries a sense of taboo (interracial, anal, A2M, etc.) except for girl/girl. Although I am a huge fan of Teagan's it will be regrettably difficult for her to ever amount to the megastardom of Jenna. As someone said earlier, Jenna is a marketting genius. This is mainly so because of the fact that she has still left many things like anal and interracial sex to the immaginations of her fans. People are always going to desire her and hope for her to go that extra step. In other words, there is still something left for her to do. If I'm not mistaken, Jenna is still very rarely performing boy/girl scenes. So even this has become something "new" for her fans. Although it sucks for fans of porn, Jenna maintaining her sense of mystery/reservedness is doing wonders for her wallet. Although I hope she does go that far in the biz, I have my doubts about Teagan reaching such a zenith in porn, having done too much too soon. Before anyone disagrees, let me just say that I am just writing this as the truth, as the way it is. I wish that Teagan's willingness and adventurousness would help her make it but unfortunately the world doesn't work that way. Ya know it just occurred to me that Teagan who many are saying is the next Jenna in her first year in the business will most likely made more movies than Jenna has in her 11 year career. I checked out Jenna's IAFD videography and she's really only done about 40-50 movies where she's done a sex performance. The rest are non-sex roles in things like the AVN Awards videos and compilations. Teagan in her first six months in the business did more sex scenes than Jenna in 11 years I think.

Friends -

I will grant that Jenna Jameson is well known, business smart, media savvy and a marketing genius, and arguably the face of porn for millions, OUTSIDE of porn circles, but as far as her being a REAL porn star, color me unimpressed.

Yes, she's probably what all porn girls, (or anybody else, for that matter), should aspire to be. An individual who's at the top of their profession and has reached a point where they pretty much control their own career and destiny. But aside from the off screen characteristics I mentioned above, I don't think there is anything at all special or remarkable about her. Certainly not what I've seen of her onscreen. I just think she was in the right place at the right time, and smart enough to take advantage of the explosion of the porn industry in the past 15 years. When the big wave came to really cause porn to blow up into the mainstream, Jenna was on it much like those who got in on the ground floor at MicroSoft or Apple 25 years ago.

Jenna onscreen has always left me wondering, "Huh? Just what IS the big deal? Why is this girl on Stern all the time, and who made her the Goddess of Porndom?" I've been serious into porn for over 30 years and have NEVER been moved to buy Jenna, or even watch anything by her more than once. Maybe because I don't have anything to do with Vivid and Wicked and the other feature outfits, and don't care about the almighty "contract" crowd, but I would go a long way into the hundreds of porn girls that have moved me over the years, before I got to Jenna. If, I ever got to her. To me, her movies were always like the gay, bi, and she-male movies in my porn store. Yeah, I saw them. Yeah, I knew they were there, and yeah I knew that somebody was renting/buying them, but it wasn't me or anybody I knew.

But Jenna knew how and when to work it. She knew which way the wind was blowing, and knew how to take advantage of doors when they opened, so I can't begrudge her her status. I just know enough not to believe the hype.

Still, because of porn's success and evolution, and the way that it is now pushing up against the mainstream, a new girl coming into the business today, like a Teagan , has virtually no chance to set a course and follow a path to take her to Jenna status. Porn has become just too specialized and compatmentalized. Especially in gonzo. The landscape is different and every day more and more beautiful and younger ones walk through the door. They can probably make a lot of money, but to carve out that special niche where you are the face of your profession, is awfully hard.

Look at the timing when Jenna entered the business compared to todays standards. If Jenna entered the biz today, she would be expected to do anal, gonzo's, facials. If she didn't, how long would she last?

Teagan has to do these kind of movies to become successful because thats where the market is. Its a different porn generation. I think Teagan can become a big named star (if she isn't already). She is intelligent and her performances are improving every time.

I think there are ALOT, and I mean alot of starlets out in the porn world who can become as famous as they want to. Bigger than Jenna. I'm just not sure alot of them strive to do it.

Agree with everything you said Mikey . Thanks for saving me the need to come up with my own reply , that's exactly what I was gonna say . I'd probably add too that gonzo and features are like apples and oranges on this issue . And while a girl like Teagan might look like a huge deal to the fairly insular crowd of raincoaters , in the mainstream world she has virtually no exposure . To get noticed means advertising which in turn means bucks , and that's something that only feature companies seem to consider a sound investment on a large scale and a consistent basis . Jenna has had that investment and it's paid off big time .

I guess the question for Teagan is whether she ever intended to be a big porn star or just to make a whole pile of dough before cutting and running . If she wanted to go the pornstar route then not signing for a feature studio ( who would surely have been fighting all over themselves to snap her up ) was a pretty strange decision IMO .

I don't think there will be a next Jenna. If it is, it won't be Teagan. Jenna had lots of help from Howard Stern. That's the way i found out who she was. I have never been a fan of her movies or style, but she's a damn good busniess woman. Jenna's well known, but she isn't repsected in the "mainstream" I don't think any pornstar ever will. Teagan reminds me more of Ginger Lynn. She's not afraid to try most things. Being a Gonzo fan, I think she could be bigger than Jenna in the world of porn. I think she has a bigger fan base now. Jenna has excluded things from her career that could make her bigger in porn. Having lots of money and fame should be a separate issue from being a great pornstar. Jewel De' Nyle was a great pornstar, and a great business. Gonzo is the future. Check out Jewel in a couple of years, she'll be the richest woman in porn.

With all the celebs lately having their home sex videos exposed or leaked by themselves or people they know the line between porn and mainstream is getting blurred more.
Jenna had a chance to move into mainstream acting, she really didn't want it bad enough but the doors were halfway open to her. If Jenna had taken a major role in an independent mainstream film or even a low budget studio film and knocked people's socks off with her performance she'd have made the complete crossover. Future porn girls will be given that opportunity. And you're going to see alot more mainstream celebs with home sex videos coming to the surface to boost their careers and Q factors. I predict that within the next 10 years a mainstream female celebrity will do a movie for VIVID.

Well the strange thing is she did interracial but then stopped all of a sudden. She said she enjoyed the interracial scene she did which only means somebody must have told her that doing interracial would be bad for her reputation. Obviously there is no real answer to this it's all just opinion until Teagan either goes huge or fades away. To me there will never be another Jenna Jameson in the same regard. She changed acceptance levels and really in some regards opened the door for the super hotties to flood into the business. Since she did it already, I don't think another girl will come in and ever jump porn up the ladder like that again, especially if the crackdowns begin if Bush gets reelected. Maybe years and years from now, but not real soon in my oppinion.

Jenna to me is about absolute perfection. She has about the prettiest face I have ever seen, and the rest of her is not far behind, she looks just as good if not better in person, and the one time I met her a few years back she seemed to be a genuinly nice person to be around. I have most of her movies, and I cannot say there is one I have seen where her performance was not exceptional. She is completely erotic and sexy in her performances, eager and vibrant, and that look she gives while giving head is something to behold. She virtually never looks downtroden or unenthused I don't see how one could ask for more than that, yeah she doesn't do the circus act stuff, but so what that doesn't take away from the perforance of the stuff she does do. She has class, elagance and beauty, combined with charisma and savy, that has gotten her to the top, If she is not your cup of joe, that is fine, but some are trying to pass her rise off to nothing more than coincidence, and that just is not true.

I'm not a huge Teagan fan, but I have seen plenty of her work, she is great, very cute, a good but not overly enthusiastic performer, and more than you could ask for from a porn performer. I'm sure she has many of the traits that Jenna has, but so do plenty of performers. Teagan is the hot ticket right now, and ever since Jenna, the hot ticket girls are always compared and pondered as the next JJ, but truth be told, I don't see anything that puts Teagan on a pedastal above several other ultra cute gonzo performers. Her looks may put her above some, but I would not go so far as to say anything puts her above Jenna Haze or Taylor Rain or others in that vien of performers. And I'm being generous on being that lofty.

It's especially gonna be hard for her to make those kinds of gains after being a do everything gonzo girl for so long, not saying it won't happen but that always seems to damage thier rise to ultra stardom, and we don't even know if Teagan would want to go the more mainstream route or how long she may plan on staying in the business, so who knows really.

Honestly I don't see the level of buzz outside this forum that is here inside it, I'm sure teagan is a major rising star, but I don't really see anybody pushing her to those levels of comparison. We'll see I guess, but for my money there only needs to be one Jenna.

Well if that's true about fucking black men ruining her reputation, it's too late. She's done it, and nobody's ever gonna forget that she's fucked black guys. It's not going to hurt her, look at Brianna Banks and Sunrise Adams, or Jewel De' Nyle. All three have done black guys and they are big stars. She said she had her own reasons for refusing to work with black men anymore. All we can do is believe what she said. That's the problem with actresses not telling the truth, it gives us fans space to gossip about it.

Another reason could be that her family is against her doing interracial scenes, I think this was the reason for another actress not to do interracial movies yet the family had no problem with her doing a scene with Max Hardcore......

Jenna is an icon within the industry, be it thru performance on the set or in the boardroom. Teagan is new, with her performances on the set creating a rabid following. Does Teagan need to be "a new Jenna"? and if so, why? Not for Me. I follow Teagan, the first in her own line.

There will never be another Jenna and Teagan is a cutie but not a superstar like Jenna. Teagans time will come and go like most girls she won't have the staying power that Jenna has had as it's very rare to find a girl with longevity in porn today.

As a fan of REAL porn, I hate to admit it but Mutt is right on the money. While Teagan is only in her first year, she has pretty much done everything which still carries a sense of taboo (interracial, anal, A2M, etc.) except for girl/girl. Although I am a huge fan of Teagan's it will be regrettably difficult for her to ever amount to the megastardom of Jenna.
As someone said earlier, Jenna is a marketting genius. This is mainly so because of the fact that she has still left many things like anal and interracial sex to the immaginations of her fans. People are always going to desire her and hope for her to go that extra step. In other words, there is still something left for her to do.
If I'm not mistaken, Jenna is still very rarely performing boy/girl scenes. So even this has become something "new" for her fans. Although it sucks for fans of porn, Jenna maintaining her sense of mystery/reservedness is doing wonders for her wallet.

Although I hope she does go that far in the biz, I have my doubts about Teagan reaching such a zenith in porn, having done too much too soon.

Before anyone disagrees, let me just say that I am just writing this as the truth, as the way it is. I wish that Teagan's willingness and adventurousness would help her make it but unfortunately the world doesn't work that way. Pornstars like Jenna who continuously frustrate fans, seem to make it big while those like Teagan don't.

I don't want to single out this girl because there are many girls out there who say for example they won't do black guys because of what that their family might think yet they have no problem being in a scene with Max Hardcore and being all pissed on. For me that's strange. Ramsey, being from Holland it's probably hard for you to understand the racist history in America. I'm white and it makes me ashamed how many of my people act towards minorities in this country especially black people. I'm glad I wasn't raised that way. Nobody is better than anyone else based on skin tone alone. I never hear black girls or latin girls in porn refusing to do white guys. I think what bugs me more than the girls with the lame excuses for descriminating, is the people who tolerate it. Are you a fortune teller? I think she is famous not because of her performance but because she haven't done anal and she is just lucky to have much attention. Jenna is a FLUKE, nothing more. Very much like Nirvana in the early 90's. Just in the right place at the right time.

And a marketing genius? Hardly. Smart with her money? That's a little more reasonable. If not sniffing your money away up your nose and being relatively intelligent enough to invest and branch out is "genius", than I'm freakin Albert Einstein!

I think Teagan could be huge. Her presence is off the charts. Will she be another Jenna? God no, it will NEVER happen, not to anyone. But there is no rule in porn saying you can't "slow down". She could ease back and be a little less giving, causing people to anticipate. It wouldn't be the hardest thing to do. Besides, Jenna just said in an interview on HardcoreGossip that she wants to sign Teagan to a contract! If anyone can promote Teagan right, it would be Jenna!

I got a bit confused with some of the posts on this thread. The guy who started this thread obviously had a Jenna Haze vs. Teagan topic in mind. But the succeeding posts turned into a Jenna Jameson vs. Teagan topic.

Jenna Jameson is in no way hotter than Teagan. And most especially than Jenna Haze.

But to pick between Jenna Haze and Teagan. I'd go for the burning hot Haze.
