Where did you read the review? Even though it's not quite as hard as regular 'hard core', I would suggest checking it out - even though I haven't even seen it! This is a series not full of great sex, but the humor is pretty good and the camera work is well done. At least I would suggest a rental.
I'm not sure what you mean?! Digital Playground makes no gonzo stuff. Jesse does no anal (pity). But if her scenes are not hardcore - what else?? Her scene in JP10 is really hot and her boobies are bumping nicely around (if you like them - I do).
The downside of the JP series is the length and sometimes the extras. Length is always near 90 min. In extras I'm only interested in bts (cast list like Evil Angel does them is also nice) and this is not included in every part of JP. Oh, one more disadvantage: There are always MANY hot girls in the films - but some of them are always not properly "used". ;-)
BTW, Jesse's appereance in Contract Stars isn't exactly my taste. Her make up is just distracting. (haven't seen the sex yet)
the lifeless comment made me chuckle --> in Contract Star she's told in the BTS to tone it down because she's so ridiculously overfucking the guy that the director is worried about the final product looking silly. (The BTS is very funny on this movie BTW). I thought the guy was retarded for taking this stance and he should have let her do whatever she thought was hot. So as a result that scene turns out kinda dry, but in the same movie you'll see all kinds of movement from her with Evan Stone when she tries very hard to proove she's lively. And the director may have had a point after all because it did border on being laughable. But I can't think of her as lifeless after seeing it. Or beforehand, for that matter. (But I may have lucked out and avoided her lifeless titles.)
(The Teagan scene is much more low key. [Was it designed that way to keep her from showing up Jesse?] Anyway, this debut is doomed to disappoint her previous fans, but one hopes she continues experimenting until she finds a good mix of the old heat and new glam.)
