Why do porn stars subject themselves to appearing on the Howard Stern show? Honestly, is it really worth the plugs? Stern can be a great interviewer when he wants to be. The interview he did last week with Ron Jeremy was excellent, one of the best he's ever done. But today's bit with Jessica Jaymes was absolutely disgusting.

Here she is, one of the hottest chicks in porn who's always looked gorgeous, and the first thing he says to her was that she lost weight.
And then he spends the next 15 minutes discussing her experiences with high colonics. Jessica was very polite and tried to change the subject, but noooo , Stern was fascinated with the irrigation of her colon.

And I applaud her courage for willing to be within 100 feet of the two creepiest members on Stern's current staff, Sal and Richard. There's no doubt in my mind that one of these days Sal is going to walk into the studio and go postal but that's another story.

No celebrity has done more for the porn industry than Stern, but is it really worth being treated like trash at times? Cindy Crawford was literally brought to tears when she attempted to have sex with (Stern whackpacker) Jeff The Drunk a while back. There are rumours surrounding the downfall of Cindy with accounts of her attempting to literally drink herself to death. Frankly, if I tried to have sex with a slimeball like Jeff, I'd wanna kill myself too.

So why do porn stars do it? Is the notoriety worth the humiliation?

At one point in the interview when Jessica politely asked him to change the subject from high colonics, Stern said "Trust me, I know what's interesting". No Howard, you don't . At least not anymore.

While I agree with you to some degree, I also feel that everyone knows what they are going to get themselves into when they go to howard. Besides trying to get fame out of it (like Jenna Jameson, Savannah Samson, and Tabitha Stevens have), every porn star and celebrity knows the trouble they get themselves into.

The bottom line is that the few minutes on the air gets them plugs for their sites and for some, this is more than enough. No other nationally syndicated show invites porn stars or even plugs them. So a little embarassing talk is worth the on-air promotion and the E! promotion. And it was not even that bad- there are times that regular girls go there and get treated like sh!t.

Howard Stern bringing porn stars on his show is one of the few reasons that I listen to the show. It is great to hear other sides of porn stars that are not read in forums like this or other adult-related news sites.

Yeah but Jessica's colon and high colonics is not the other side I wanna hear about. I won't be able to get that image out of my head the next time I'm trying to whack it to one of her videos.

True. But Artie is the main reason I continue to tune in and there's nothing else on in the morning.

she sounded like she was having a good time. i had a good time listening. just because her colonics conversation hinders your whacking doesnt mean Howard "overstepped any boundaries". besides, she is the one that initially brought up colonics. he just ran with it.

next time turn the radio dial.

You are right that that was not the side I wanted to hear, but like Glory Boy said, she did initially bring it up.

I wish porn stars would respond on their experiences on the Stern show. I know of a few porn stars such as Jenna Jameson and Kami Andrews that have been on the stern show and I believe have had great experiences (even while Stern was a dick)!

Please. Cindy Crawford also laughed about her ex-boyfriends suicide while on Stern during his last stint in Vegas, which actually managed to offend people that aren't easily offended. This broad is a whack-job and, let's not forget, a pornstar. Jeff the Drunk might be disgusting, but her entire existence revolves around sleeping with strange men for financial gain. I'm sure she got over it.

Don't knock Stern, he does what he does because he can. If anything, this just shows what some girls are willing to do for the slightest bit of acceptance and fame.

Generally agree with FF. Didn't hear the Jessica Jaymes thing but it falls in line with Stern's fascination with all things scatological. He and his coterie of freaks will howl endlessy upon the discovery of an unflushed toilet.

He is putting in time until his satellite gig, but there will be no sanctuary there either because Ted Stevens and all the other congressional lamefucks will find a way to censor that realm as well.

you all know the only reason he kept it up was simply BECAUSE she didnt want to talk about it. it is a better interview for him if she is uncomfortable. howard is the man, artie is the man, and i miss jackie too!

Howard sticks to a single topic because he is a shitty interviewer. Once he leaves the first topic, the rest of the interview becomes "all about Howard".

The next time that you listen to him interview someone, take notice of how many times Howard interrupts the guest so he can talk about himself.

He can't stand to let someone else be the center of attention.

My only gripe with Howard is when he asks certain girls what height, size, and weight she is, then goes on saying that all girls of that particular height should weigh that much, perpetuating that supposed body ideal. I believe he did that when Teagan and Cytherea were on. Other than that, he's not much of a bother; he's on the same time when The Daily Show is on, and Jon Stewart always gets my viewership.

And Skykill, your avatar is killin'.

I have always been confused about why people like Howard Stern. I guess if you like fart jokes, you're at home. Other than that, he's pretty damn annoying. Thanks to all our stations in SoCal, we have about 20 different morning shows to choose from, plus XM.

If you don't like Howard, then you just don't get it. You're not in on the joke. You're not in the know. Turn the dial to listen to someone who idolizes Howard.

Howard is the Jimi Hendrix of talk radio. He changed the nature of the microphone as much as Jimi changed the guitar.

I watch The Howard Stern Show on insomnia TV once-in-a-while. I never listen to him on the radio. He's a conceited asshole as far as I'm concerned.
One lady who handled Howard well was Rebecca Lord. That French cutie knew all about Howard and his antics and beat him to the punch. He usually has to prod and plead or almost threaten some ladies to lift their tops to show some titty. Rebecca got naked right from the get go, even turned around to wiggle her cute ass in his direction, and opened her cheeks so that Howard could see her butthole if he wanted to. She stayed nude the entire time she was there, at least on the TV portion of it. She started right in talking about how much she loves anal sex. It seemed a little odd to me since she rarely does anal on film. Howard either isn't a fan of hers or doesn't watch much porn or he would have known that. She steered the conversation the way she wanted to and got to promote her website and films and Howard was gawking at her body the whole time and seemed mesmerized. There's one pretty lady who handles herself with both dignity and class.

This thread is precisely the reason that Howard is so popular: He's just interesting as all hell. I before I had actually heard him, I assumed (based on the media) that he was a worthless radio personality using cheap techniques to get an audience. I reluctantly saw his movie and was quite impressed.

I later listened to him on the radio and really liked what I heard. He's entertaining. He's funny. He's actually quite a good interviewer, despite the differing opinions in this thread. What might be the real clincher though, is his dedication to his exact beliefs and opinions. To whit: Howard has made me actively angry on several occasions with his treament of his guests and phone callers. Yet I continue to be a fan because the rest of it is so good. I respect his choice to just be himself and not censor as much as he can legally (if that's the right term) get away with.

He's not always "on" with his show, but who could be doing 4+ hours a day, 5 days a week, 46 weeks a year?

He's no longer offered on the radio in my market, but I continue to Tivo the E show and enjoy it some. Imaginative is right: Howard is a true innovator, if in the most base of ways.

I have a 1-hour commute to work and listen to the Stern show every monring. It's a good listen to me, more often than not. He doesn't have the #1 rated morning radio show and #1 E! show for nothing.

I really can't stand Howard Stern and I agree with "dvddude": he is absolutely worthless, and his jokes are not funny at all, IMHO. His movie was lame too, I don't even think I finished watching it... And to those who say "Don't like him, don't listen to him": damn straight I don't! Sometimes I'm forced to, however, because of my idiot co-workers. But then again, I don't listen to radio... I have over 600 cds, why would I?

As for Rebecca Lord: she is a babe, but if the only way she could beat HS was to undress from the get-go and give him something to gape at, does not fall into the "class" category to me.

Today as I was sitting in my car, waiting for the Opie & Anthony show to end before getting out and going into a store, I realized that this is the big difference between Howard of the late 80's-90's and now.

I used to regularly sit in my car listening to him once I had reached my destination because I had to hear the end of what was going on. As of a few years ago, not only did I no longer ever care enough about what was going on that I would sit in a parked car to listen, I often changed the station after thinking to myself "not again!!!"

Since O&A have joined XM, I find myself listening to radio the way that I used to. I wake up early to hear the beginning of the show and if I miss anything, I make sure that I hear the parts that I missed on the recording that I make in my XM receiver each day.

Well, today I listened to Mackenzie Mack fuck Friday with a strap-on on O&A. Here are the photos. I know that is not something creative and new like Howiewood Squares ("Paul Lynde's ripping me off Robin. Tell 'em Fred"). But it made for interesting uncensored radio.

Hey Bill,
When Stern moves to Sirius, and if it's available for a free 3 day trial on the net, are you gonna bother to give a listen?

I've been meaning to write this thread for a long time. Just about every goddamn pornstar bit on Stern's show has become lame. I decided after Jessica's appearence that enough was enough.

As much as I love porn, I usually tune out whenever a porn star visits the show because of what I've already said. But Jessica is one of my faves and I thought maybe it might be worth listening this time. I was wrong-again

I guess if you don't have the stature of a Jenna Jameson, then anything is fair game on Howard's show. Certainly Howard wouldn't ask Jenna if his staff could throw bologna on her ass or force her to walk down the street with two tampons shoved up her nose, would he?

Contrary to what's been said, I do get it! I understand Stern's show all too well. His show has become sooo predictable for me, I know what he's going to say before he says it sometimes. But since I listen every day then that makes me predictable as well.

Can't wait to see the next porn star on Howard's show. Maybe she'll fuck Eric The Midget. Ohhh, wouldn't that be sexy.

Nope. About 2 months into listening to Opie & Anthony when they were on in afternoon in NY, I realized that I liked listening to them better than I ever liked listening to Howard.

Since then, they've only gotten better and Howard's only gotten worse. I think that he "jumped the shark" around the time of his divorce. It then got worse when Jackie left.

And you're right. It the predictability of everything that goes on that is the biggest problem. He's been "phoning it in" for years.

Even if I still liked Howard almost as much as O&A, why would I choose him when he will be working 4 day weeks with 10 weeks of vacation when he goes to Sirius? That doesn't sound like someone who wants to do a radio show. That sounds like someone who's ready to retire, but is going for that last big payday.

Jessica could have been creative and changed the subject to something more sexy to the mainstream. The first time Howard went on about colonics it was OK, but many years later? He needs to stop. Plain silly.

Unfortunately, Breuer now has his own show on Sirius. They're all still friends, and have done something together off air since the return of O&A, the 3 of them can't do anything on-air together.

From what I can tell, at least on the Internet, you're in the majority on that one.

Most people who have gotten tired of Stern quote 3 points when his show went downhill...

1) When he got divorced

2) When Jackie left and

3) When the FCC started cracking down harder after the Janet Jackson incident.

Personally, I think that all 3 have had a significantly negative impact on the show.

His x wife, Alison being part of the show had a sweet and funny element to it. Not much unique about having a model g/f like he has now....
And I didn't really know that many miss Jackie. All I hear is how great Artie is. Artie is too cold and pedestrian for my taste.

Most people don't realize how much Jackie actually contributed. Jackie used to feed Howard lines on post-it's. You could always tell when Howard used a "Jackie line" becasue Jackie would howl like it was the funniest thing that he ever heard. Nobody realized that this was happening until the E! show began. Then you would see Jackie passing Howard little yellow pieces of paper all of the time.

Artie doesn't do that. Howard now has to come up with "off the cuff" lines on his own. Regardless of whether people think that the things that Jackie said are funnier than what Artie says or vice versa, doesn't really matter. Howard is not as funny without Jackie there.

Howard rules. He is the greatest interviewer in the history of radio or tv bar NONE. Opie & Anthony were/are Howard fanboys and clones and one of them humiliated himself on Howard's show years ago telling Howard how much he loved him even though he badmouthed him to get attention. It was pathetic.

Furthermore XM radio will be subsumed by Sirius in the long run. Why? Because of content, the magic word. All XM has is O&A who suck and one major sport- baseball, which they bought at the last minute when they realized that Sirius has every other major sport as well as Howard and many many other shows. Mark my words, NEVER bet against Howard. XM is doomed.

Yes, very true. When I saw the E show for first time I was able to see how much Jackie wrote. Though I think the credits rolling gave me an idea before I even saw that.
Artie is so damn negative and not in any inspiring way.

Bill, you used to be a fan too. So you know it's true. Not only is Howard the BEST interviewer of all time, he might be the ONLY one. Most of what passes for an interview nowadays is just boring plugs and p.r., not any real substance. Who else can get celebs to open up and talk about whatever is interesting, whether it is about sex or money or rivalries or show biz stuff or just their lives? And who else can make otherwise uninteresting people fascinating by the way he interviews them? Don't pretend Howard isn't a great interviewer just because you don't listen to the show anymore.

By the way, did you see the E! show a few years ago where one of those talentless ass-clowns- either O or A I forget which- came on the show and kiss Howard's ass and beg forgiveness for bad mouthing him just to get attention when in fact they themselves love Howard like a daddy?

You've got that one completely wrong. However, since you only have Howard's word to tell you the story, that doesn't surprise me.

Anthony came on Howard's show before he was working in radio. Anthony was working in HVAC during the day while he played in a band (Rotgut) at night. He was appearing on Opie's show on WBAB on Long Island as a guest every week or so. But he didn't actually start working in radio until they both got hired by WAAF in Boston.

He came on to participate in the "Jackie impersonation contest" Here's the clip of Anthony on Howard's show in 1994 (the only time that either of them ever appeared on Howard's show). Tell me where Anthony kisses his ass and begs for forgiveness. The quote that gets me is Howard saying "Wow, he's good. He may look weird, but he's good". But now, according to Howard, he sucks.

When people use Howard's descripiton of things as their basis for stating "facts", they usually come across as being either ignorant or a liar, because they are just repeating Howards lies as if they are fact.

Oh yeah, I used to be a fan of Howard's. But his lousy interviewing skills was one of the things that drove me away from him. Every time that he interviewed someone I found myself yelling at Howard in my head "Shut the fuck up and let the guest speak already."

Stern holds a lot back and now is a horrible interviewer. I listened until about 2012. Marci changed a lot in that office.
