When she was still married to Michael Stefano, they started Platinum X Pictures with Dion Giarrusso and his brother David Joseph. Jewel's parents worked in the front office of the company (they still do). Subsequently, Dion & David had a falling out. So Dion sold his interest in both PXP and Red Light District to David. After that, Jewel & Michael sold thier shares in the company to David as well. [Link]

Click to expand Bill has already given you the correct answer. PXP started out with a particular ownership arrangement. Eventually, Jewel -- the talent and "name" that PXP was built on -- was left with a minority stake in her own company (David Joseph winding-up owning the rest of the company. And, more importantly, the absolute controlling interest). So, sure, Jewel "sold" her share of PXP and left. Often, true fact + true fact + true fact = incorrect conclusions to be drawn. Cutting way fast-forward to now, the "last-straw" seems to be the attempt to promote De'Bella's career (Jewel's mom) using Jewel's name. This was covered in this thread. [Link]

Last two owning is Mike and Brandon. So it hurt that I was forced out of a company I started while my parents continued to work there the job I gave them. Just to clear the air here. [Link]
