Dough wouldn't cover West's genre, at least he hasn't made a foray into it that I'm aware of, so I'm curious to know what niche you think he would fill at Evil Angel. Even without John S. doing much work they have the Assman market well served by Jules Jordan and Jonni Darkko.
No dis to Dough, who is certainly one of the more interesting characters in porn, but I've never seen a whole lot of originality in his stuff -- except maybe for the early "sex stories" series he did way back when. Of the Anabolic crew of yore, he seemed like the most reductivist behind the camera. And to judge from the last few new guns hired by Evil, they seem to be looking for younger helmsmen and women, anyway.
Jon Dough doesn't deserve to work for a high quality company like Evil Angel. It would be an insult to a lot of better directors who also don't work Evil Angel.

Exactly what Ramsey stated is what I believe. Jon Dough has paid his dues in this industry but that doesn't necessarily make him a candidate as an Evil Angel director. If Evil Angel started bringing in directors out of nowhere they would lose credibility. I believe having less directors creates less confusion for the consumer. Evil Angel is fine the way they are now.
I'm also wondering where Dough-boy is.I don't think he belongs at EA.It's not a slam,I just think he should go with another company.I think he did great stuff for Devilsfilm,nothing groundbreaking,but he's not afraid to shoot good old fashioned piston pumping DP's.His hairy arse didn't bother me,my obsession with DP allows me to block out such supposed distractions.

It isn't that he did a good or bad job at Ana/Dia, it's just that I don't see that he would add anything to Evil Angel's lineup. That's why I asked where you thought he would fit in.
To answer your question: Jean Yves Lecastel was the only one at Anabolic who was doing a good job there. Right now in my opinion he's the only director who I would like to see at Evil Angel.

exactly, when you are a true dp fan, you are able to ignore the guy's ass. Jules Jordan has turned out to be a pseudo-assman. What Evil Angel need is a dedicated lover of the female ass in the class of John Stagliano and that pretty soon, the gap between between Buttman releases is getting wider and wider.
..I´m not Oly but now that I'm thinking about your question and what Oly asked before. I think IF he takes Randy West´s place John Dough could be a perfect fit for Evil Angel. Not doing exactly the amateur stuff Randy was doing but more like the stuff (pro-am?) John was doing for Anabolic, the BringUm Young series was a good one. But for this to work John should work with US and EURO talent just the same. If there is something that Evil Angel needs is a good US director that will work with euro babes as much as with US girls. ..Maybe this is up to debate but, in my opinion John Leslie doesn´t do justice to all the euros hotties he work with in his videos. His annoying practice of pointing the camera toward the light at all times not letting see the action clearly is a turn off for many people, just look the complaints from time to time here in adt. Justing Slayer is working with euros but is more in the interracial camp than anything (which is good, I'm not compplaining ....this other new director (Darkko) he does one on one mostly and he is more in the sophisticated side of making gonzo. Evil Angel needs a US director that will work with eurobabes amd make them sweat taking on multiple guys every chance he gets. ...Christopher Clark is not enough, Rocco..well his videos are more reversganbag than anything so he is out of the question. ..The Buttman himself? his stuff is mostly one on one also, not to mention that he release a video every full moon. I don´t even mention Jules or Joey ´cos those guys do not work with euro babes at all. ..So, yes ...Evil Angel needs a new US director that will work with eurobabes and make them work hard for their money getting them stuffed like a Xmas turkey ..John Dough can perfectly fit the bill, what is more important he has the back ground to do this. Personally, I'd leave the decisions to hire directors at Evil Angel to Evil Angel. They've done pretty good in the past.
....com´oon, when they were putting down John Dough as a director you didn´t say anything. As soon as someone makes a good point of why give him the job (that will be me )..you go for the killing,..what's cooking? besides, a forum without speculations on any theme, it would be very sad. Jules Jordan has been shooting a lot of the Euro girls who travel to the States.
You guys can go ahead and speculate all you want. I know it's a lot of fun. Just try to be patient and realize that there's a whole lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that isn't usually made public knowldege. And those things can often be every bit as important in what type a director a person is as what you do or don't see in the videos.
