Although I think it's more about aesthetics than a technical issue. I think it's unnecessary, rlankford, if Jonni sets it straight about the tech he is using and you keep dogging him about it, then it's pretty insulting (which is why he felt insulted). If you however explain your experience as a fan, then I think it would go more smoothly. Personally, I feel like something in Jonni's aesthetics changed a while back, mainly the lightning, or the appearance of lightning. I think it's because of several reasons: - change of location (is he he shooting in a new room or another house?) - so much white background; white walls, white sheets, white sofa, white floor (sheet under?). This naturally ruins the contrast to the girl's shape, hair color, skin color, lingerie or clothing she is wearing. This started (became popular) with the old gang over on Elegant Angel and it reached Jonni's productions about 12-18 months ago. I hate it. It's the "clean" (simple) look that has become very popular nowadays. It (white and simple) has become a very popular design with websites too. I really hate it! Here is an example pic showing the contrast. I think the Alena scene looks great color- and lightning-wise (=non-white background) - looks all natural and organic and thus sexy, but the others not so much (white all over) - it's like you go out when it snows for the first time during the winter season; the bright light from all the snow on the ground and buildings blinds you. I wish that Jonni dropped the white and sticked to backgrounds like the one in the Alena scene. Look at how much the pink (from face, lingerie and lipstick) and blonde hair stands out. Please tell me that everyone can see that the Alena scene looks so much better aesthetically! PS. The Jeanie Marie scene also looks great (not surprisingly that is also a scene without white!). If it pisses you off so much that he does it his way, why don't you just stop watching it instead and give the guy some peace. If you think you are able to do it better then go do it. I'll watch and be a critic if you want. Personally, all things considered, I think that J.Darkko provides the very best in deep throat with some very scintillating scenes over the course of the year. They all don't reach my #1 fav list but it's not because of how he shoots it but how skilled the talent is. I find it hard to conceive that you're watching this with such a technical eye that you're missing the porn & the performance. You get A LOT of love on here from the majority of the users, so I don't think it's fair to say that the thread has become full of complaints. Only a few (1%) criticize, I would interpret that as you are doing something right and can take this as just merely a dissenting opinion, right? So take my comments for what it is; a different experience than the majority. That's a fair assessment, don't you think? But I must object to you lumping together complainers and critics. Two different animals. I tried to be very constructive in my criticism, hoping that would be worth something to you. Regarding the aesthetics... I guess different strokes for different folks is the appropriate punchline here. Aesthetics and visuals are very important to me - while for most guys here all they care about are holes. For me: gorgeous naked girl + good aesthetics= even hotter girl. "clean non distracting background" You call it that, I call it simple, so simple it becomes boring and easy to get away with. You use contrast to put focus on something, to accentuate something. White doesn't necessarily do that, thus it isn't automatically non-distracting. The following is what I call non-distracting background placing the girl in focus: Because the above pics have so specific colors (not just background but also clothes/lingerie/jewelry/makeup) I can recall and name the exact film (aka memorable), it's much harder when every scene is "clean non-distracting" (aka white). It's also not hard to figure out which ones requires more hard work. The colors/the contrast actually puts ALL FOCUS on the girl, the fact that you write that a background should be non-distracting and the way you to do that is with white, seems that you don't agree with this? You didn't have this style before and made great stuff, why is that so bad now? Why suddenly so devoted to one idea of aesthetics? I want to finish with saying: you have the right and option to completely ignore my input (which I suspect you will, which is in itself weird since I am a fan!) or you can interpret it as an opportunity to see it with a pair of different eyes (you can only improve something if you are aware of different opinions - doesn't mean you have to agree with them - not just those patting you on the back).
