Up here in the Province of Ontario (Canada) we have something called the Ontario Film Review Board. Basically, everything released on film or video must be screened and approved by them before it's released to the public to make sure it's not obscene. Everything from major motion pictures to porn. This was especially tough on porn companies because it would take months to release something that had already been out in the US, not to mention the fact that the porn company had to pay for this, usually resulting in major edits to a porn film. All approved movies had stickers on them which inspectors would show up unannouced at stores to make sure the proprietors were following "the law". Looks like those days are gone, and the local stores are very happen not to mention the distributors up here. Here is the article: OFRBarticle Kudos to the little book store in downtown Toronto that had the courage to fight this thing to the end. They were fined for selling a porn tape without a OFRB sticker on it. Those of you that have never been subjected to a system like this have no idea how big a decision this is. I think the folks in the UK and Australia can relate.

But even this has become problematic of late, particularly when trying to distinguish so-called 'Canadian' versions from the official US (or even European) releases. The rules in terms of what is legal and what is not is not that bad. for instance i ordered flesh hunter 5 with the debatable scene with taylor rain and whether its bordeline legal or not, anyways i had no problems with getting this dvd.
