To be fair, some of it is a bit nit-picky, but there are scenes were its so noticeable its annoying. Technical shit annoys everyone, for both the people trying to find out the problem and those receiving it. As for viewing old scenes from 10 years ago, yes this will be more common as we hit 2007-2008 era. Some of the older stuff, just depends really. JulesJordan.com always great content, thats why I sub yearly :) I hope to see some more epic awesome-saucy-scenes as the year unfolds :D [Link]

The distortion effects are very noticeable if you compare the same frames between the old and new versions. Here is a frame from the 4:3 standard definition version of Ass Worship 8 overlayed with 50% transparency over a frame from the distorted "improved" version: The 4:3 frame has been positioned so that the circled part of the shower is lined up and the same size. If the "improved" version had simply been scaled and cropped in a linear way, then everything else would line up and fall into place as well. That doesn't happen; the items that have been arrowed on the "improved" frame - the reflection of Mary Anne's arm, the male performer's head, and the light fixture - are stretched away towards the corner. It is a weird pincushion effect. No matter what you do with simple linear scaling, you cannot make these two frames look the same, which is proof that one of them is distorted in a non-linear way. Riley's slightly stretched jawline in the new Dredd scene is mildly perturbing; the above is just outright infuriating. And again, this stuff has been brought to JJV's attention many times and they apparently do not care. In this very thread Jules himself is insisting that there's nothing wrong with the new Riley scene! But hey, they may look into fixing it in the future. Like I said, don't hold your breath. I'd much rather have the 4:3 aspect scaled up to 1080p without any distortion. A happy compromise I've found is 1.5:1 aspect ratio... e.g. 1620p x 1080p (or 1080p x 720p) - it seems to put "most" of the scene, i.e. the centre of the frame back into the correct ratio and the edges no longer look as distorted. But distorting the aspect ratio of old scenes by cropping or streatching is such a stupid and silly idea. If it was filmed in 4:3, it'supposed to be watched in 4:3, so just keep it that way for gods sake. The whole idea is to make it look better, not worse, right? [Link]

I assume all the Jules Jordan scenes from early 00s up to 2007 were shot in 4:3 with 480p resolution, so that's how they were intended to look. The pre HD images puts you in a time warp of what porn used to look like before shooting in HD became the norm from 2008 onwards. [Link]
