That's not the Jules Jordan way. As far as Adriano being a director that can ruin a brand, I don't see it that way. I think he could get a Manuel type deal where he can direct for Jules occasionally as well as work for Evil but the JJV Adriano titles will focus more on Superstars or extremely hot girls rather than just casting girls because they do anal. Overall I don't think he needs to jump the gun and hire someone right away. I'd just like to see the site dominated more with Jules Jordan & Chris Streams directed title featuring them using Criss Strokes, Manuel Ferrara & Mandingo as their main performers. Lex is still the coolest dude around, but he has lost a step performance wise and even though Mandingo gets his fair share of performance criticism, he still goes harder than Lex. 2, the cast was not one of JJV's best. Nikita Von James looks terrible, which has as much, if not more, to do with all the plastic work on her body and to her face as it does due to her age. She isn't too old or anything, but the plastic work actually makes her seem that way ironically. Amy Anderssen is a freak show, having much more work on her than Nikita. Both of these women look worse after the work they've had done to them than they did before. Jada Stevens and Phoenix Marie have both done Lex a hundred times. So out of 7 females, we're left with just 3 who aren't drastically massacred by plastic work or haven't done Lex before. Bella Bellz, crazy big fake booty. It doesn't look bad though as Amy Anderssen's tits do. Plus she's new. +1 Capri Cavani. Fine all around and new to Lex. This was the best casting in the whole movie. +1 KLK. She's also super fine, arguably hotter than ever. +1 But she's done Lex before. Despite this, Lex the Impaler 8 still got good reviews and sold pretty well. I think if the cast was just better it would have got much more hype. This was a rare misstep for Jules. I'd give it about a 7 out of 10, which could have easily been a 9 or possibly a 10 if we could replace Nikita and Amy with humans. If it wasn't for Jules' directing skills and photography, this probably would have been a 5/10. /review But you're right, Evil Angel is stealing thunder from the Impaler series since they put out a new Lex movie every month. IMO none of their Lex movies has been as good as the better Impalers we've seen. I would say most of the Impaler movies are better than all the Lex movies by Evil Angel in the last couple years. Jules is just the best director and it's as simple as that. BUT! I will say that this year Evil Angel has improved their casting a lot over last year in the Lex movies. I guess they are trying to go for a "cinematic" effect by muting the color palette or something, sorta akin to the Instagram trend that caught on because people thought it made their pics look classy and vintage or something. Well that might work for Instagram, but it looks terrible for video. They're using this faint yellow/greenish type of filter on top of a muted color palette and it looks rancid. I should be posting this complaint in the West Coast Production thread but I don't think anyone even pays attention over there. Besides, what I really want is Jules to re-team with Mandingo anyway. Look at Lex's scenes from 2008 or so he is not as big as he used to be. He can not even get fully hard in some of his modern scenes. It seems to be me his girth has shrunk as well. He looks tired in his scenes. He is getting on for 50 and Sean Michaels is nearly 60. I think these guys are too old for doing porn. I doubt some of these young girls really want to be with an old dude either... Danny D is like the white version of Lexington Steele back in the day. He is far underappreciated. I would like to see some young new dudes in porn take Lex's place. I know there are diehard Lex fans on here so I will get panned but that is the way I see it, lol.
