We shot it two years ago but because of some behind the scenes 3rd party legal stuff where it was filmed we had to hold off on releasing it... fill in the rest. We shot it three years ago when >actor< was a mailman and we needed to edit out a lot of accidental shots of the uniform before we could legally release it... fill in the rest. We shot it four years ago and our summer intern copied over the label/misplaced the final copy... fill in the rest. We shot it... The reason could be as simple and/or stupid as anything above and I would accept it coming from JJ on his own site. Nobody bats an eye at a delay of a few weeks or months, waiting a year raises an eyebrow but most people understand there may be a contract in place - but aside from someone being contrarian I cannot imagine any fan of >actor/actress< not wanting to know why their scene was delayed for a year or more. The answer doesn't need to be a deposition, and as a consumer I'm not entitled to anything nor do I deserve to be told any details at all, but unless the reasons are insidious or have legal repercussions I don't see the harm in shedding some light on the practice. Nearly every site does it in some form or another, and I don't honestly recall JJ doing it outside of the last Lana scene, but because he's in the position to explain, even if it's just a broad overview as to why it happens, I think it would be very interesting to a lot of poeple. JJV releases a scene every 3 days or so. So if he films a scene every two days, there is always gonna be a backlog. Ok, that heap might get smaller when taking a vacation etc., but I guess initially you release the scenes in the order you shoot, but once your backlog is so large you're releasing scenes you shot 2 months ago, you probably want to release a scene you just shot, simply because you feel like it, or because you think that girl is in such demand that it will drive new subscriptions etc. And so the older scenes from the backlog get put back more and more, no It's his company after all, and not like a publicly traded company that would have to "write off" expenses for scenes shot ages ago and now would have to explain to the shareholders why these expenses from 2016 have not brought in any profits. The only thing to criticize could come from the starlets/agents. I mean, in an ideal world you only work for companies that - apart from paying you - you think will improve your visibility, get you chances for Awards etc. So shooting for a company that never releases a scene is then doing nothing for your personal marketing. Also for a few others we had to wait nearly 2 years. I think this works for the random guys, who never thought about. But for the fans of a girl, who knew about the shooting, it's really bullshit! You make a good point as well but then it becomes highly subjective to shelf one scene for years while rushing to release one immediately after production is done. Sure, strike while the iron is hot - makes sense. Maybe they had a falling out with >random actress< and said "fuck it I'm not giving her the press"... that would make perfect sense as well. But it was four years in the case of the Lana scene. As the poster after you points out this was a scene that some/many/most never even knew existed. Then it gets released with zero fanfare or even a courtesy nod to the people who did know about it that they finally get to see a scene with her in it. The frustration comes from being a fan of an actress and not being able to see a scene she did because of unknown reasoning that is never, ever explained or acknowledged. Surely we can all understand why that could be frustrating or irritating to others. This is why a brief reply from someone in the position to make those decisions can clear up so much confusion or second-guessing by simply describing what the process 'could' be in some cases. In the end it changes nothing, he'll do what's best for his brand, but it also doesn't hurt to let your fanbase know a little about how things work on the inside. I work in an industry that "the more you know the better we both are" is an everyday practice, it makes sense to ask for that here as well, in my eyes anyway. [Link]

Click to expand These are 2 totally different things. julesjordan.com is his membership site where you have to pay to watch or even download single scenes in highest available resolution up to 4k. julesjordanvideo.com is his site, where he promotes his DVDs. But you can't download/watch the scenes (except the trailers of the DVDs). The overlap you talk about is, that of course his single scenes are also part of his DVDs. [Link]
