Actually that HD DVD was a double layer 30 gb release. It was filled to the brim even though it was only the theatrical cut (extended edition was released on Blu-ray later). And downgrading image quality to fit more footage on the disc is never a good idea. People are paying a premium for a reason! I also don't like that most bonus stuff is in SD. Actually porn is better in this regard than mainstream movies. On 99% of all mainstream Blu-rays you get bonus footage only in SD whereas on many porn BDs it is in HD too.

My preference is, that for any movie that niether fits on one disc nor warrants a second disc, just omit an enitre scene or unit of content. Just list the contents on the cover.
The issue here isn't one of creative license. Jules Jordan obviously has the legal and artistic right to shape and reshape his product as he sees fit. However, there seems to me to be an ethical issue with marketing a Blu-Ray stripped of 50 minutes of content under the same title as a DVD in its original format. The buyer/renter should certainly be made aware of the change by means of some disclaimer/disclosure. Absent such a warning, the brand name "Jules Jordan" suffers as it gains the reputation of being misrepresentative.

So some of the past JJV titles on 2 disc DVD with 4 to 5 hour runtimes have been trimmed down to 3 hours 10 minutes for BluRay release, with no disclaimer, and some can't figure out why anyone would complain? 2 disc JJV DVD's (again, some with a 4 to 5 hour runtime) on DVDEmpire.com cost between $27 and $32 A single disc Bluray edited down to 3 hours 11 minutes costs $40 at that same retailer. Sounds like quite a bit more than 5 minutes a scene is missing... The back of the boxcovers for the following JJV BluRay titles claim that their runtimes are- Slut Puppies 3- 3 hours 36 minutes (Newly Released) Deep In Latin Cheeks 3- 5 hours 24 minutes Breast Worship 2- 3 hours 57 minutes Ass Worship 9- 4 hours Jenna Haze Darkside- 4 hours Could anyone here who owns these aformentioned BluRay titles please confirm these to be the actual runtimes- not by looking at the back of the sleeve but by checking the counter at title's end. It would be greatly appreciated. Jules, MJ and Everhard have produced some of my all-time favorite scenes- I would definitely notice if anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes of footage were missing from some of them. To say that the run-time disclaimers were simply missed while the 2 Disc Special Edition splash on the front has been removed from the BluRay boxcovers is conspicuous. I was just about to make the BluRay jump... I'll hold off another six months to see what happens.
well, the immediate plan will be to not release blu rays until they can be done to standards, at this time it is not feasible to release two disc sets on blu ray, however single disc titles will be a great idea for sure...I also looked into dual layered blu ray's but the adult replicators do not make these...so...back to the drawing board!
I hope the plan isn't to reverse this by making Blu Ray (with its single disk limitations) as the "blueprint" and burn the regular DVDs from that. ONe of the things I have always liked about Jules Jordan titles is that with the double disk I feel like I'm getting better value for the elite prices that are being charged where I find your titles. ONe the double disk options there are usually some girls I"m not that interested in but I like the long developed scenes for the girls I do follow. All that tease and stuff is the long fuse that makes your titles so appealing. I'd hate to see fewers scnes or the temptation to scale back the "ogling potential" to make it all fit for Blu Ray

Since you didn't answer Midnight Max's question about the run times of the five movies he listed, can we assume that none of the boxes list correct times for the Blu-Ray versions?
I had always wondered why Evil Angel hadn't yet delved into the blu-ray market. I'm assuming it's because of the subject discussed here. What is the point of releasing titles in a new format if you get less and pay more, doesn't make sense at all. Blu-ray has this impression on the buying public: better picture quality and more room on the disc. I remember when it first came out everyone was saying it'll be so much better, you could fit 6 or 8 hours on it. If you're going to edit movies down to get them on blu-ray it's a complete waste of time.
Does anyone know if Jenna Haze Darkside was edited? It's funny I have most of Jules' titles on Blu Ray but never noticed any editing. I would assume it's only the case for the extended 2 disc sets. Now I see why he dropped the format but his movies are significantly short now compared to his 2004-2007 phase when each scene ran over 45 minutes.
