This is good. However, if you click "download", most of the time (for the new trailers at least) you get nothing. It's a simple linking error. In the download link, they are leaving out part of the URL. For whatever reason, it's always the part of the URL that contains the director's name. For example: On the Semen Sippers 6 page you can see that the link to download the windows media format trailer is: http://static.julesjordanvideo.com/media//Semen%20Sippers%206.wmv Notice the double slash (//) after media? It's missing the director's name. The proper URL (that I got from properites of the embedded player) is: http://static.julesjordanvideo.com/media/Mike John/Semen Sippers 6.wmv So, the webmaster has a little cleanup work to do if they want the downloads to work. Jules and I are aware of the issues and we are working to resolve them. DrP0rn0 is 100% correct in his description of the problem. The previous webmaster built a database and then decided to make changes to it which broke certain aspects of the site. I believe I temporarily fixed the problem with the broken downloads but wanted to let you know we are redesigning the backend of the website to alleviate this problem again. Even though the overall design of the site won't change much, look forward to a cleaner and better functioning website in the coming weeks. [Link] |
