Dan, I remember reading somewhere that Wicked was requiring their contract girls to do anal and oral cum shots scenes as part of their contracts. I know that Julia Ann was unsigned by wicked in 2005 and resigned in 2006. I wondered if Julia Ann being nastier then ever had anything to do with her contract situation.

Now, let me dispel a few myths.

1) Wicked has a new policy for their contract performers.

Not that I’m aware of. Nothing was ever demanded of me.
Wicked has always let me run my own course. They contract their people based on what they naturally bring to the table. Steve Orenstein asked me if I enjoyed my scenes in the new movie. He
wanted to make sure I was doing what I wanted to do.

2) Wicked pushed me to get nastier because I’m older.

I stopped filming thinking that I might start a family soon with Michael Raven and I wanted some time for the two of us to be together without my fucking other people. Needless to say, that family didn’t happen. When I filed for divorce I was antsy after not filming a movie for over a year. Without the thought of a family or a husband, there wasn’t a reason for me to stop performing. This is what I do and I love making movies. I feel sexier than ever and wilder so why not show it?
I brought this movie to the table. I went to Steve O with the idea and to tell you the truth I think he may have been a little scared that I might get wilder that he was comfortable with.

3) Wicked trying to piggy back on Jules Jordan.

How much drama can one person start with one thread?
When I went brunette a fan wrote me and asked, “Will we get to see more of the Darkside of Julia Ann?” I thought it was very clever because of my dark hair and thought that might fan might be flattered that I got the title from him. I don’t know any Jules Jordan movies. If it weren’t for this letter I wouldn’t even be sure how to spell his name. I’m sure that he is a great porn director. In fact, Michael Raven used to say how good Jules was at his craft when Jules won awards. With all my respect to Mr. Jordan, I wouldn’t know one of his titles names. The title of my movie came from my fan email. Once we were alerted to Jules title we renamed my movie “Julia Ann HARDCORE”. It seems that some people can’t believe that there are ethical and concerned companies out there, that are just trying to make product that feels right to them, with no harm to anyone else.

4) I know Julia Ann and she would never swallow.

There is a lot of hostility over whether I swallow or not. Here it is guys… No sugar coating Julia Ann porn star bullshit…I DON’T LIKE THE TASTE OF SPERM!

When I resigned with Wicked Pictures for another year I had already brainstormed my first movie. It wasn’t about dramatic acting, or mood lighting. It was about what had been going on in my head for years.
If you’ve followed my career at all then you know that there are many areas I haven’t ventured into. Well, there are a few less now.

In November 2005 I decided to get nuts and dye my hair brunette. Almost everyone loved the new look including a fan that wrote me an email asking,”Will we get to see more of the Dark side of julia ann?” I thought that it was so cute that I wanted to use it for a movie title. I went to Director Jonathan Morgan with my new movie idea and my cute title and we came up with six rockin scenes (at least in my opinion) that would be shot over three days. Although there was already that cute title being used by Jules Jordan, so we changed the title to “HARDCORE.”

Day 1
Scene 1- My first Anal scene.
Anal was always something that I thought about, but couldn’t really plan on doing. I’ve done it many times in my personal life but for whatever reason when the camera turns on my ass gets ultra tight. Stage Fright I guess. Well I was tired of my Asses bullshit and like it or not it was going to yield to my will. As well, I decided I wanted it to be with Manuel Ferrara, which came to me when I heard the stunningly beautiful and anally unstoppable Katsumi say at the 2006 AVN Awards that, “It was easy to do anal with Manuel.”

Scene 2- The Jeanna Fine Strap-on.
In Vivid’s “Where the Boys Aren’t 5 or maybe 6” (I’m not sure) Janine and I were harnessed into couple of Strap-ons and performed a rockin DP on Ms. Fine. I often wondered what it would be like to be in Jeanna’s position. While being a makeup artist on the sets of Playgirl, I’ve met many new performers and for this scene I picked two of my favorites from Playgirl, Roxy Deville and Gia Paloma to play the Janine and julia ann of my scene.

Day 2
Scene 3- Sean Micheals redone.
Many many years ago I attempted to start my own production company and my first movie was to include a scene between me and Sean Michaels. Unfortunately that scene and the movie were never finished and the only thing that exists today from that shoot are the still photos. I wanted to reshoot the scene with us. We’ve always had great chemistry and I wanted to tap into it again.

Scene 4- Blow Bang Turned Gang Bang.
This scene came to me while doing makeup on a few of Manuel Ferrara’s Gonzo shoots. Being a makeup artist has really opened me up to new experiences in my industry. I’ve always been pretty sheltered I guess but being on Gonzo sets have made me want to do new things and introduced me to a whole new crowd. There were times that I would walk on Manuel’s set and there would be a girl sitting there with a group of guys jacking themselves off around her. I found it fascinating and wanted to try it. Although I got a little out of control and lost sight of the Blow part of the Blow Bang.

Day 3
Scene 5- The DP
I wanted to do this scene because I hadn’t done it before. I’ve seen it but never actually done it, not even in my private life. This movie was about doing something different and how much more different could I get than this. I did know that it could be very personal to me, since I would be a human skewer and I wanted to be comfortable with my partners. I wanted ever scene to be fun and enjoyable and so I would want to know that they were my friends. I picked Randy Spears and Tommy Gunn.

Scene 6- POV
Actually, this was the one scene that Jonathan Morgan suggested. He had never shot a POV scene and wanted to do something with a Home Video style. Since we wanted to look like a video that a couple would shoot for themselves I asked and old flame if he would shoot it with me to give it a personable edge. The old flame I asked was julian.
