Hi scenic! This is an interesting discussion. I think the *proliferation* of facials, so that they're used in 95% of scenes today, is the result of the commercialization of porn. It certainly wasn't the case if you look back 15 years or more. I love facials. I don't get off on them because of a need to see a woman degraded or in an unbalanced power situation. A great facial scene to me is where the woman enjoys it; to me the message is "I love sex so much I want to get messy and show it off!" There's a website called The Facial Forum where some female members actually post some pics of themselves after getting a facial, and I love how proud they look. I hate scenes where the facial recipient doesn't like it. This pretty much goes for any sex act--I want to see the woman enjoying herself and not doing something she doesn't want to do!
It is good to get a woman's perspective in here scenic. I agree with you in the fact that I never understand the criticism of boob jobs and tattoos and other subjects. It is especially surprising when you have some of the female porn stars in here talking to them. I feel that people should not be so pushy and just be happy that we have a forum to discuss these topics.
Scenic has posted some very interesting questions here regarding women and porn . Aurora Snow , one of the smartest and long lasting stars has written an article on the daily beast regarding her feelings on this issue , she has written a few before-she's very smart and thoughtful . http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/02/11/porn-isn-t-just-for-men-why-women-love-watching.html
[invalid URL removed]Just a thought.... Coming from a girl who is in Porn... Thanks I am glad someone out there knows we are human too. StrapOnPrincess
Another very interesting article , interview with Sasha Grey . http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/02/15/hollywood-s-favorite-ex-porn-star-a-chat-with-sasha-grey.html?obref=obinsite
And Aurora Snow seems to be a regular contributor posting articles at the dailybeast. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/03/05/interracial-sex-still-taboo-for-many-porn-stars.html
While posting to the Jenna Haze thread, I thought of this thread. The OP asked a question of the fans, and our focus turned to how the performers feel about the fan's demands:Given that the internet offers wank fodder for almost every imaginable fetish, what is it about porn fans that leads to the almost incessant craving for more? An ocean of porn sits at our fingertips, and we want more. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves. (BTW: The person who asked the question in the Jenna Haze thread about whether she did a gangbang was inquiring, and there was no implication that she should have done one, so I am not criticizing that poster.)
