I remember when MTV retired their ten worst videos or some such. They got a bunch of comedians to sit around and say snarky things about the videos.
Then Vanilla Ice came on for the retirement of his video, and Jon Stewart remarked that it was harder to say mean things with the person sitting right there.
Then Vanilla Ice smashed everything and scared the shit out of Criss Cattan.
OK..I got a nice surprise and F2 was in my mail box...10 mins later I was watching it...and I fucking LOVED it!
The first 20 mins (not 30 as previously posted) is part of the FASHIONISTAS dance show....but it also has Rocco getting his dick sucked by Jenna Haze and then another girl (Gianna, maybe?).
I must say that the sex scene between Gianna Rocco and Jenna was a 15! Very hot fetishistic sex!
The orgy scene doesn't really take off until disc 2...disc 1 just sets up some of the other stuff.
Sasha Grey was awesome in the disc 1 orgy scene working on Rocco and FLOWER TUCCI taking control was great!
The orgy scene on disc 2 was phenomenal....reminded me of my fave orgy scene ever shot (from FACEDANCERS 2 I beleive)...this one was just as hot.
Some other scenes on disc 2 were awesome as well...don't want to give away too much.
As for the ass worshipping/buttmaning look...I think the ass shots and the movie itself was captured perfectly.
I think we all should let John follow wherever his libido takes him...long as he takes his camera.
On first viewing this is one of the best movies I've seen this year.

I watched that show. I don't like saying negative things about people or their work in bad ways. I'll give honest critiques even if I don't like it... but I try not to say that it's a piece of crap or it's worthless or stuff like that. I'm not a big fan of the "roasts" on comedy central either... making fun of someone behind their back is cheap. making fun of someone to their face is just mean.
All that said... I'm not saying that everyone should love this movie, or even like this movie. Just maybe try to remember that John invested a year of his life in it, and me over 6 months... and I'm cool if you tell me you don't like the movie, but to tell me that the last 6 months of my life was a mistake is a little harsh. I might even respect you a little more if you give the criticisms constructively. Maybe that way I won't make the same "mistakes" again.
ok, I watched it too. I thought Jenna Rocco scene was good, the rest of it, didn't do anything for me.
I was actually looking forward to Sasha Grey's scene, but she is pretty much lost in the orgy scene. Come to think of it, I didn't really like the first one either, Rocco and Taylor St. Clair had a good scene, and the rest of it was so-so.
Anyway, Buttman is a legend, I just didn't find this product to my liking. I found the editing frustrating, and the customs and BD/SM stuff didn't do much for me.

OK, so I finished the first disc. And I must say its pretty good.
Love the opening sequence and the girls coming out with focus on the ass (thanks Buttman). What I didn't like was the Jenna/Gianna/Rocco tease during the show. Its was really dark in the background and you couldn't see shit.
The orgy was what I expected. Except there wasn't that much fucking, only blowjobs and feeling up others bodies. I haven't checked out disc 2, but I guess orgy scene was that, right?
I didnt like the change on cameras from one act to the other. I nearly was about to throw the DVD box to the wall b/c i thought the Jenna/Giana/Rocco scene was going to keep flashing back to the orgy. THank God it didn't!
The Jenna/Giana/Rocco scene was great!! Stagliano proves that he can still shoot hot sex and shoots the girls from great angles and positions, unlike a bunch of these other "directors". And Rocco is still the fuckin man.
I'll probably check out the next disc later tonight. Looking forward to see Katsumi smother some dude's face!!
As much as it pains me to say this about an Evil Angel title, I have to agree with the above statement.
John S. has more than earned the right to produce whatever erotic material his heart desires. That said, I was always happy that while he tried to scratch is artistic itches, he would throw the raincoaters enough bones to keep us happy. Such is not the case with this movie.
An example of this happens about 22mins into disc 2. Steve Holmes and Jazz Duro are getting some great deep throat action, but there is no cum shot. That just hurt.
To make a long story short, as a raincoater, I was deeply disappointed. Then again, he never promised us a rose garden. I guess I'll just have to wait for Buttman and Rocco go to Montreal 2, or the holiest of holy grails, NEVER SAY NEVER TO ROCCO 2.
I can dream can't I? :)
Boat Drinks!!!

P.S. : Bella's acting was very good and the music was excellent.
P.S.2: What would have been the harm in having Rocco cum in the final scene? That just hurt.
I think the stop/start with some scenes with no payoff (cum shots) are going to be the biggest bitch from fans...and I understand that.
But still thinking about the movie while I'm watching MNF...and I still have JULES JORDAN'S WEAPONS OF ASS DESTRUCTION 5 still sealed...that should say a LOT.

Porn or not, if someone else calls something you created and put in long, stressful hours in a mistake would piss anyone off.
Just watched this one and while I am not a fan of two part movies I would have to say...HOLY CRAP!
I for one liked all the tease leading into the sex.
Bella's acting was indeed spot on. She did a fantastic job. I am not sure why everyone is surprised she is not playing a bigger role in this one sexually. That is what I was expecting. Though I did expect to see more of Katsumi and Melissa in part one then I did.
Sasha's partial scene with Rocco and her performance in the orgy were fantastic. Hard to believe this was one of the first things she did.

Not ONE of the first things she did. THE first thing. She did the 'fashion show' part in Las Vegas for us the week before, and then this orgy was her first on-camera sex scene ever.
Overwhelmingly, Hollywood movies, which are shot on film at 24fps, are transfer to NTSC video (30i) using a 3:2 pulldown cadence.
What you ignorantly call "ghosting" is present in these movies as well, but your eye is accustomed to the cadence and shutter speed combinations of Hollywood movies presented on video (because you've never seen anything else), so you don't notice it, but it's there.
Some reasons interlace may be more noticeable in porn:
*Higher shutter speeds commonly used in video cameras, and the crisper frames that result, create greater distinction between fields.
* Less experienced/skillful directors of photography may be unaware of shooting techniques to minimize the appearance of interlace.
*Less experienced/skillful camera operators may be unaware of camera motion strategies to minimize the appearance of interlace
*Repetitive, cyclical high motion subject matter is best suited for highlighting interlace.
*Apparently a lot of people watch porn on computer monitors, which have a higher frequency, progressive refresh verse television sets, which have a 30htz, interlaced refresh. The 3:2 pulldown process was developed for the refresh cycle on a TV, not on a computer monitor . The computer monitor's higher frequency, progressive refresh and higher resolution makes the phenomenon easier to see in both Hollywood movies and porn .
*The Sony Z1, the "HiDef" camera of choice in Chatsworth uses a highly idiosyncratic 30i derived approach to achieve quasi 24fps, and this quasi 24fps looks different when pushed back though the 3:2 pulldown scheme that everyone, in both Chatsworth and Hollywood uses to convert 24fps source to NTSC presentation.
I'm not saying you're not seeing something. I'm not saying that in many cases the I'd agree that the director, DP, and/or Op has made poor or even ignorant choices that result in a look that is not well-suited to the material. But the presence of interlace phenomenon is not, in and of itself, a technical defect. It is a simple fact of of the interlaced NTSC video signal. It has nothing to do with encoding or authoring.
More over, where once we only saw film, shot at 1/48 on a 180 degree shutter and transferred with 3:2 pulldown; or videos, shot 30i at 1/60th, now we're seeing a whole range of looks. The advent of both adjustable shutter angle film cameras, and progressive acquisition video cameras have opened up a world of creative possibilities by using novel frame-rates , shutter angle/speed, and transfer schemes; all of which allow the DP to match the temporal quality of the footage to the film.
That means we're now seeing a lot of programs that have a different temporal feel than what we're accustomed to seeing. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's gimmicky, sometimes it doesn't work. But it's a creative choice just like lighting ratios or editing styles.
If you don't care for the temporal look in F2 or other porn, fine. I have come to accept that many people who otherwise have pretty open minds become startlingly narrow-minded when it come to how things should look when they have their dick out. (I dunno, maybe it's some sort of pavlovian conditioning that makes a guy who's stroked to too much 30i video incapable of getting off to a different cadence.)
But until you have at least a basic understanding of the technical aspects involved, you should refrain from couching what is a matter of your personal taste as a technical criticism.
Being in a PAL region, I think you'll find I know very well the difference between smooth PAL and the NTSC pulldown effect. In my Hollywood movies, the pulldown effect for me is perfectly acceptable but the ghosting in porn is something else. I accept there may be factors that make porn appear worse. My arugment is keep the movie progressive.
Where is the logic in converting progressive to Interlaced?
Actually I think you'll find Hollywood movies are stored progressively on the disc! See attached the following links:
Hollywood Movie: http://img45.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=th_96634_hollywood_122_496lo.jpg
24fps films are transfered to PAL frame for frame with no pulldown and 4% adjustment to the soundtrack. That's why you don't see any pulldown in your Hollywood movies. There's not enough money in porn to make PAL versions of DVDs primarily destined for NTSC markets, especially not when NTSC DVDs will play on PAL equipment.
Yes, Hollywood movies are now cut in a pure 24fps electronic image chain. But overwhelming they are converted–via the addition of 3:2 pulldown and a .02% adjustment to the audio track–to a 30i NTSC signal before encoding to MPEG2 for DVD authoring. In fact, as far as I know, DAMON AND HUNTER: DOING IT TOGETHER is the first mixed format (film and NTSC video) DVD that presents progresive 24fps (23.98) MPEG encodes. Even then, the DVD player adds 3:2 on the way out to make the signal compatable with the NTSC monitor. The fact that interlaced frames aren't hard-encoded on the disc doesn't mean it you don't see them play on the TV.
It's your being a clueless crybaby that annoys me.
[invalid URL removed]From a good explination of why "24P" footage from the Sony Z1 looks the way it does:
"Cineframe 24 (CF24) is the really interesting one: it implies the look of 24fps motion picture film. For casual uses, it works very well: the images appear to have 3:2 pulldown, with two "interlaced" frames and three "progressive" frames in every five, and the motion is pleasingly stuttery. However, the camera itself is still running at 60i, so there's definitely some funny business 'twixt the chip and the clip.
"Cutting to the chase: CF24 cherry-picks fields from the camera's 60i video stream to simulate the juddery motion of 24p. However, the motion is worse (more uneven, more syncopated) than true 24p imagery, and it cannot be reverse-telecined to get smooth 24fps imagery. CF24 is fine as a special effect if you're staying on video at 60i, but it's not suitable for a true 24fps feel, nor will it work for film-outs: the motion is too unsmooth, and the vertical resolution of the image is damaged.
"If you're still with us (good on yer!), Cineframe 24 appears to be mixing and matching a witches' brew of field-doubled, frame-based, and synthesized images in its five frame cycle"
I remember that scene vividly and I can't wait to see the movie.
I was with John and his team while they shot in Berlin and it was a great experience. I personally like when there is a lot of unfinished sex in a movie. It's like being live at a big orgy. You watch bits and peaces here and there and than move on to watch something else.
BTW: Anette was polite enough to suck me off and swallow my cum after we were done shooting.
I would just like to clarify that despite being in a PAL region, 90% of my Hollywood DVD collection is NTSC!
Even if I agreed with you, why do studios use this damm curse of a camera?
As a consumer, I'm allowed to quiz the quality of the movies I purchase. As a person representing a studio, your replies are unprofessional in their manner.
Perhaps you should look into improving your professional etiquette?
Your NTSC DVD play in a "quasi" PAL. Through on-the-fly interpolation they are uprezed to the same spacial resolution as PAL, but 60htz like NTSC. You're still seeing plenty of interlace on your Hollywood DVDs because your DVD player has to insert 3:2 pulldown into the progressive 23.98 MPEG to make it compatible with 60hrz playback.
Because they want to put "HD" on their DVDs so that you'll buy them, but can't afford the $500-$1500/day it costs to rent a real HD camera, so they use a $3,500 fake HD toy. What makes you think you deserve anything better?
As a person representing a studio, I find you to be a shrill, harping, misinformed crybaby.
That's the moneymaker for sure. I've watched Disc 1 so far, and no complaints. And from the teaser for Berlin, I think whatever some viewers feel like they're missing in F2, F3 will offer in abundance. But to enjoy this, it helps to think of it more, um, like an opera ... not a pop (shot) song. I find it exciting to see how the actual story and characters are developed in a life beyond F1. I think there's an effort here to work on more parts of your brain than people give porn credit for ...
Not that I really give a shit what a up their own ass wank stain like you thinks, but do you know which camera Digital Playground use for their Gonzo's? :P
Sometimes its funny how frustrated people get with consumer replies. Take a chill pill!
This Is all going off topic. look me and my girlfriend love Evil Angel and Will always Support Them And I bought Fashionistas 2 and I can't wait to see it when It comes in the mail. But It looks from the previews that It's got a mainstream feel and I know Trish and John Worked Hard at the Movie and I'm proud of that.I like my porno to have that. Fuck I know It's just porno But It's still In my opinon A ART like ANY OTHER movie. And Everyone's ART should have It's respect no matter If you don't like it.I'll give a review as soon as I see it
Hey, I watched the whole thing. It's pretty damn good. Performers like Sasha Grey and Adrianna Nicole would be pretty damn good if they just sat in their fetish garb and read the LA phone book (though "War and Peace" would be more edifying, I suppose ... or the new Bruce Wagner).
I like the way the continuing saga further elaborates on the theme of the "mystery room" visable via DVD or the internet – like the Insex "live feeds" or the torture chamber in Assayas's "demonlover" (great fetish/girl-girl domination/internet paranoia mainstream flick, of course it's from France).
Orgy sequences will never not be a disappointment, no matter what. "Face Dance" excepted.
You guys are killing me I was planning on buying the complete set when it was done, but I love films filled with tease scenes. Now you are making me want to watch the film now and not wait.
We only got a single copy for our entire store! That's crazy. We got 3 or 4 of every other new release, but only one Fashionistas. That's uncool. I hope more are coming soon because that sucker's gonna be gone by the time I get back to work tomorrow.
It's a 100% 23.98 progressive film, so you know he'll like it!
BTW, starting with D&H and continuing through all of our shot-on-film titles, we're using a propietary, completely pulldown-free telecine process. No addition of pulldown in the transfer, no removal of pulldown on the ingestion into the editing environment. Just pure sweet progressive 24fps footage from start to finish. Tasty!
The "witches' brew of field-doubled, frame-based, and synthesized images" that the Z1 uses to produces its quasi 24fps footage can easily be avoid; simply shoot the camere in its 30fps mode. That way you'll get that lovely 30i cadence that raincoaters know and love!
I'm actually pretty stoked about the jizz-free scene prospect. I mean, I like to see the ladies get a little sticky (or a lot). But my girlfriend has rightfully pointed out how silly it is that almost all porn scenes end with the guy shooting a load, whether or not there's any reason to believe the girl had an orgasm (or any fun at all). So it's refreshing to see scenes that break with the jizz=finish convention.
I rarely watch American movies anymore. "Pirates" for instance: I look at the boxcover and see plastic-titted girls and read of a bunch of lesbo scenes. Oh yeah, I remember that. No way I'd even give it a try. But John Stagliano is a director I trust. I'm glad to see so many people interested in this movie, but surprised at the negativity in initial reactions. As if it were supposed that Stagliano had lost it or didn't know what he was doing. As one character says of another: "You had to know he was like that"--re: Stagliano's Marcello. Another quote from the boxcover: "...and especially the constantly evolving edgy talents of the adult movie performers of the world"--that is key. I've only just watched this movie, and plan to watch it again this weekend when I'll have more time, but at the end of disc two (and the last scene with Rocco & Belladona is definitely my favorite, and as it were what I was waiting for), I said: "Wonderful."
