Well, yeah. I'm sure that's intentional. That's what I like about the name: there are so many layers to it. On the one hand, it echoes "care bear"; the "care" brings up ideas of nurturing and loving and the "bear" contains ideas of a rampant force of nature ("Kara Bare" also slightly hints at "caribou" which reinforces those ideas of a wild animal nature), while "care bear" as a phrase brings up memories of the toy and carries with it suggestions of innocence. But those suggestions of innocence are quickly dispelled when we see it is not "bear" but "bare" which suggests a much more active and mature sexuality, more appropriate to a porn performer. The repeating 'a' sounds in the name trip off the tongue while the initial hard 'k' gives it an immediate and memorable impression on the listener. It is just an absolutely perfect porn name.

Just watched TCOA2, and I recommend it highly. Not only for Kara's sene, but all of the scenes are top notch. I really like how they interview the girls first about their hobbies and favorite parts of their bodies.
