^Except that Karmen did actually plan to stay in the industry for a long time. However, she's at a point in her relationship in which she doesn't want to have sex with anyone else. The same thing happened with Brooklyn Lee. As for Alexis Ford, she became the trophy wife of a wealthy businessman, so it's not surprising that she quit her job like a lot of people in her position would.
