.with college experience. I'd like your honest opinion. This inquiry is open to everyone in the forum but I'd especially like to get the viewpoints of performers, those still in the biz and those who left, who went or are going to college. Particularly Katja, because she really impressed me with her progress and the things she said in her posts.
Theirs this new documentary titled, "The College Conspiracy". I watched it today and was impressed overall even though I disagree with a some viewpoints points made in the film. When any of you get the time, please watch it and tell me your overall opinion of the film and its accuracy.
Here it is on YOUTUBE...

It was very long and very repetitive and I did not agree with hardly any of it. The average PRIVATE university cost was always used, ignoring public and state universities as well as community colleges. The premise that there are (good)jobs to be had that do not require degrees is also a poor assumption. Likewise, only quoting how many students enroll in college without the comparable statistic of how many graduate is useless. 70% of high school students may enroll in college, but only about 50% of those 70% graduate. You can do the math there - that means, generally speaking, only about a third of Americans have a degree. I'd prefer to be in that third (and now I am).

Thank you for your response Kimi. Your comprehensive deposition based on your personal experience is respected and appreciated.
Anyone else would like to share their evaluation of the film and the subject-matter of its focus?

FWIW, I do agree that college is over-priced, that textbooks are a massive rip-off scam, and that college education does not, necessarily, create better thinkers. I don't think the 'college bubble' is coming any time very soon, but if trends do continue the way they are, there very well may be one in the future, perhaps in a decade or two.
