The girls were not chosen out of everyone available but a group of nominees. I felt Aurora Snow won the award in 2003 for shedding her image as just another teen performer with several incendiary performances in particular with anabolic. What she did after she won the award shouldn't be retroactively held against her. I was a little surprised that Ashley Blue won in 2004 because she didn't fit the classic standard of beauty, but felt she had the memorable scenes due to her Girlvert performances. What some people found obnoxious about her personality, MLyons and I found hilarious and I guess the voters agreed. As for 2005, Bono and I were openly divided on Ariana and Lauren. I just thought Lauren had the entire package out of a strong group of nominees having been front billing in both gonzo and feature movies. For this coming year, I think the consideration deadline was september 30. I had some favourites from the movies I've watched this past year like Katja, Missy, Roxy Jezel, Tiana Lynn, etc. Bono has seen a lot of movies and when he raved about Sandra Romain, I didn't understand until I actually sat down and watched one of her scenes rather than look at her picture. Since this thread is about Katja, I think Katja would make a very deserving winner. If you ever watch in some of her behind the scenes, you'll figure out that this is a bright young woman who is thoughtful in what she says but not hesitant to express how she really feels. Of course, none of that really matters in choosing best performer, but as spiegler told us in this thread, she's worked her ass off in some great scenes. [Link]
