"I'm excited! Just booked Katsuni! She's been unattainable for soooo long." Then a few posts later. "Yep! She's a free agent!" She's no longer listed as a contract gril on the Spiegler Girls' website is is listed as available for work. Katsuni's Spiegler Girl profile Perhaps Shylock would be so kind as to confim or deny this as I can't find any info on a AVN or XBiz. But if you're talking about past or classic collaborations, oddly enough Katsumi (I will never call her "Katsuni" and I imagine that she'll be going back to this name since Digital Playground likely owns the other) only did one movie for Elegant: "Slave Dolls 2" which was directed by their (and OUR) own ^ Graham Travis. She has many more unforgettable scenes with EVIL Angel. The most memorable ones, of course, coming in those final two "Fashionista" sequels. As a fan, I was surprised back when Digital Playground signed her to an exclusive performer contract; companies like DP don't usually lock down or even go after talent who has some 250+ scenes under their garter and have been around the business so long that others might consider them "shot out." As a tit man, I'm happy to see her freelancing in the gonzo realm again because now I don't have to watch a DP movie to see that awesome boob upgrade she got when she galloped off into the sunset with that horse head company. I believe there is a thread about it here. So I am fairly certain there is no "going back" to Katsumi. I have always found it amusing that no one ever puts out a press release when a contract star goes away. They just fall off the press releases and promo stuff all very hush hush. [Link]

The was an an article about it in AVN: "Katsumi Changes Stage Name" Basically, a woman in France with the same name sued Katsumi and won, forcing her to change her name or pay royalties every time the name was used. Hence, she changed the spelling to Katsuni. Personally, the name change doesn't bother me at all. It's such a minor difference in spelling it's barely noticable. [Link]

WWE was never trialed by a US court. They were trialed and judged by The Law Lords over in the UK. So I don't see how a UK based legal system can mandate anyone in the US and say "you can't use the your initials WWF anywhere else but in our own country". They(WWE) could have just told them to fuck off and lost the UK audience but kept the name if they wanted to. I remember Mc Mahon saying that he didn't want a long drawn out battle with them over the name so he just agreed and decided to change it. No one can mandate anyone to change their name or logo to an exact name of something else. Vince and his people came up with the WWE thing at the end of the attitude era. They weren't mandated to change it to the WWE. They could have changed it to anything if they wanted to. So you misunderstood. The mandate wasn't about making them call their company WWE, it was just mandated that any merch from then on out had to be branded with their new logo or initials (whatever they chose) just not "WWF" any longer. Anyway...I got it. Digital Playground doesn't own the name Katsuni. I missed that memo. But that was literally ONE sentence (in parentheses, no less) in my entire post. The lighting is always too dark and too much artistic work with the editing. I preferred her in "Invasian", "Double Parked" (great stockings) and some of those Red Light movies like "Full Anal Access 5". In the earlier scene she does with Lex in "Lex Steele 3" she looks stunning. Does she exercise and is she a French or American citizen? Does she like California? She tied the belt around his neck and used it as a leash to pull him to the center of the stage where she had him lie on his back. She then removed his shoes & pants, leaving the guy in just his boxers. She danced over top of him for a couple of minutes before taking an ice-cold bottle of water and pouring it on him and the crowd to cool everyone off! After, she had cleaned up & redressed, Katsuni came back out for the meet-&-greet. I waited my turn and was able to sit down and chat with her for moment. I asked how she's enjoying doing freelance work after being a contract girl for so long and she replied that she is enjoying it very much. She really likes the variety of scenes from hardcore gonzo for Elegant Angel & Evil Angel to more romantic & passionate scenes for Sweet Sinner. I brought my copy of "Pirates 2" & the cover sleeve of Elegant Angel's "Bombshell's 2" for her to autograph, which she was more than happy to do. I took a Polaroid with her & picked up a copy of "Evil Anal 13." (My apologies for the poor iPhone picture, I brought my Canon point-&-shoot camera, but was so caught up in the moment, I forgot I had it with me.) In a HUGE stroke luck, it turns out she does private dances (some pornstar features do & some don't) & I quickly asked for one. After she was finished meeting a few more fans, a security guard led us past the regular VIP room, behind the front desk, down a hallway to the ultra-mega-VIP room which was literally one room. As for the dance itself, all I'll say is that Katsuni is even more memorizing in-person than she is on-screen and that Manuel Ferrara is the luckiest son-a-of-bitch on the face of the Earth!!! After our private dance, Katsuni graciously excused herself to prepare for her second show, which was coming up soon. This time her outfit was like a businesswoman/schoolgirl/S&M hybrid that incorporated elements of all three. The format was the same as the first show starting with a lot of showgirl-style dancing, progressively getting more naughty and closing with another guy joining her on-stage. Every bit as good as her first show. Her second show ended at 2:30am & the club closed at 3am, so I hightailed it outta there in order to leave before all the drunken club patrons got behind the wheel. Overall, it was an excellent feature show and terrific evening. Very entertaining and fun to watch. Well worth the four hour drive to Tampa to see it.
