I haven't seen an official announcement, but this is a loss to all fans of this industry. She was a once in a lifetime star. She will be missed.

She was class+sex personified. What got lost in her stunning figure was her acting ability. She was a true porn actress, putting more work into her character development than most stars at the time and this was in an era where you really only got top billing IF YOU COULD ACT. If you were hot but couldn't act, you were part of the orgy scene or daisy chain.

Before porn, she studied acting and was introduced to porn by legend John Leslie. She was 33, a bit older than most people. She was active for less than a decade but remains one of my very favorite stars. RIP

I remember Kay best from 2 Abigail Clayton movies, Health Spa & as the wicked queen in 7 into Snowy. She had some acting talented & tended to lay it on a bit heavy. Think she was one of the 1st Rialto Report podcast subjects. She was a significant figure in the 70s porn scene, RIP.

One of my fondest porn memories is watching the scene in Taboo where her son watches her as she showers and changes. I was still a teenager, jerking off in a movie theater, and I shot a huge load for her. Years later while watching a DVD in the privacy of my home, I relived the experience, but it wasn't the same as that first time.

This is so sad, but wow what a wonderful career and (from what I can tell) life. She was lovely on screen. My favourite performance is Taboo II. She showed she could do comedic material, sparring with Juliet Anderson in that fantastic massage scene.

I quite agree. If for some totally obscure reason I was restricted to watching one sole porn scene, it would be that one with Kay, Juliet and Kevin James. All sadly gone now, though Kay lived to see her work treated with respect, as did Juliet. She brought integrity to her roles and was believable as the incestuous mom. R.I.P.

Incidentally my favourite line in Taboo II is when Anderson answers the door to James with 'tools instead of flowers - how original' said in her inimitable fashion.
