| IWAdult Member 628 Posts 5/06 | Posted - Jan 27 2008 : 12:46PM Glad to be Alive(story told from my Hospital bed) Current mood: grateful Category: Life its 2am in West Palm Beach I lie in my bed listening to sounds of people screaming and dying. I've been hospitolized since Sunday night when I started coughing up mouthfulls of blood. Scared for my life I drove to the closest emergency room. They checked my temperature and stuff and everything was normal. Execpt the fact that I was coughing up alot of blood. The doctors didn't what to make of it at first. So they put me in isolation because they thought i had gotten tuberculosis. I was so scared and the nurses where scared me too. I was all alone till three days later when there test came back negative for tuberculosis and other. They still didn't know what was wrong with me the xrays showed that there was a spot in my right lung. So they said I probably have Pnemonia. But they still weren't sure on that either. But they took me out of isolation. The next day they did a bronquioscaspy on me(that's where they stick a scope down your throat and look in your lungs). To see what was wrong. Apparently some how or something made a cut in my right lung causing me to bleed everytime I cough. I'm so happy to know that in not gonna die, but they won't let me leave the hospital till it heals cause there afraid I might choke in my sleep. [Link] |
