Okay, I know studios read this forum, so this is directed towards them. Can you please use some decent keepcases for your dvds? I'm so sick of these flimsy little peices of crap. Is this a cost issue or what? I know I'm not the only with these sentiments. Am I the only one who would pay a tad more for an adult dvd in an Amaray keepcase?

Has anyone seen Evil Angel Keepcases? They are unlike anything I've seen to date. They are bigger than alphas..bigger than amarays..much bigger...they sort of look like a book. They are so cool. They are very flat, very square..not smooth corners. When you open it...the front part is flat, meaning both halves are not the same. They are very very cool. Timeless came in an alpha. I really think adult studios should settle for the alphas. Because when shipped..it makes sure the disc won't come damaged. My 130+ dvds are in alphas.
Heck you know what? Release my adult titles in snappers instead..that would be mad cool. Think about it..Timeless..in Matrix snapper style..and a nice fold out..with Kylie Ireland in Doggystyle position! Like a poster..because the tri-fold snapper is like that.

I know that many of the adult studios have their packaging done by the company that does their duplication. (There are a few that do it in house but not many.) Much of the packaging is done in Taiwan where cheap is the name of the game.

OK - I really should know the names of all the DVD cases, but I don't. I always thought adult studios did a better job with this than mainstream. For instance whatever the cardboard warner bros ones are seem kind of cheesy.
My only problem is when I can't get the disc off the friggin spindle - what's up with that?? Other than that I'm pretty satisfied case-wise

The spindle is the problem and the reason why people bitch about studios using cheap cases. Either the mechanism is too flimsy (and breaks) or secures the disc too well. I cringe when the instructions molded on the inside of the case direct you to "pry disc at edge to release." Any bending of the disc is just asking for a cracked disc or one that becomes warped and will not play. And, of course, having to endure finger pain in order to release a disc is unforgivable.
There's a reason why nearly all mainstream studios (except for Warner Bros., who is really cheap) use one of two types of cases. They operate well, and as long as the packaging operation has good quality control, loose discs aren't really a problem.
