Her performance in the radio debate I heard was less than awe inspiring, with her getting flustered, making mistakes, and falling for some obvious rhetorical tricks. Those public debates are more about showmanship than facts and ideas at the best of times -- that's why serious theologians, philosophers and scientists avoid them -- and she should have been better prepared for the slick debating tactics of a professional evangelist. Not that doing well in that kind of debate is easy, but she's definitely more impressive at deepthroating than debating. [Link] |
