I think fans of pornstars can be interested in these kinds of personal details just like fans of mainstream celebrities are. This is not to say that it's okay to stalk and harass them to get these details if they choose to keep them confidential, but fans can still be interested and over the years many of these personal facts have been revealed on the threads of various performers and it was fine.
^Why? I mean I don't think it's anybody's business to know that about any celebrity. The only exception would be if there is the possibility of abuse but otherwise fans should limit their interest to the professional life of performers. Of course I may be alone on this island but I think the less people know about performers the better everyone's life will be.

in respect to the first question - she's marketing herself to her audience, so she will always keep up some form of pretence that "Hey, you'll be able to see me soon in ________" to maintain interest, and keep her fans interested to see her stuff
she's mostly posting content exclusively on OnlyFans, like most girls. the platform itself is shit, but its essentially giving performers a way to create content without a production crew, and allows the performer to keep the money directly, without most of it going to pay other people
per porn scene, you've got a whole list of staff who need to be paid - camera crew, lighting crew, sound crew, makeup, producer, director, as well as any costs for the set/studio rental etc, that's before you pay the performers

you're only looking at this from a porn perspective, she's already earning more money per feature appearance (whether that's dancing, or even just conventions) than she earns per scene - she's crossed over into wider media awareness, and she's hardly going to lose the interest of her fans when she stops shooting scenes, if she's ventured into something else they enjoy
she can continue doing stuff like OnlyFans which doesn't take much hard work - girls just use their phones, so there's no camera crew or production teams involved, and they can film wherever they are, and she can earn a sideline in that, but her main income is already non-porn related, and will only continue to grow in the months ahead
she's basically used porn to create a fan base, and then moved away from it once that community is large enough to support her other ventures

she hasn't "retired", because she's a business woman and this is her job - she's basically making more money from other ventures, away from set, such as her feature dance appearances and convention signings etc.
beyond that, she's clearly investing money in fitness supplements etc, and she's starting a podcast etc to move away from being seen as "that porn star" and becoming a cross-media celebrity, but if she "retires" and her other avenues don't pay off, she's got to then do the same thing Lisa Ann did by returning, and hope that she's able to command a high enough value (based on market values at a point of time in future) to make it worth her while, and face the stigma that comes with it (see Kagney as an example)
by not "retiring" and just stepping away, fans still think she's just a phone call away from a booking - it keeps her relevant in the conversation, even if she has no interest in actually doing it in future, but it keeps her market value up there as a well-respected performer, especially in the MILF genre, but unlike most girls, she doesn't have to take bookings that she doesn't want as she's financially secure in other ways
