This post probably should have a separate thread but as it's relevant to her I'm writing it here.
Whether you're a fan of her or not there's no denying Kenzie Anne was objectively popular and the industry is better with her in it.
It's definitely annoying that a major reason for leaving is because there was little concern from the industry for the monkeypox outbreak last year, that she had to find and get vaccinated on her own because it wasn't deemed a safety concern.
There's more money being spent on porn than ever before; OnlyFans is proving that it's just not the same handful of big companies like during the peak years of the VHS/DVD era that are profiting the most. Money is being spent by potential customers all over the place.
Even though performers in straight cis porn usually won't work without a test less than 2 weeks old that still doesn't seem good enough. 14 days is enough time for an STI to occur because of when the next test takes place. 7 days IMO should be the new minimum standard.
However tests aren't cheap and the costs add up. Even more ridiculous is that the testing facilities will charge adult performers more than a regular civilian for the exact same test! Don't tell the staff you're a performer and the test taken and results given are the same. But if they find out the performer lied then will be told a new test is needed for "reasons" even though there will be zero difference...
Although LA Direct Models is on life support and a shell of its former glory, last I read it was the only agency who partly paid for testing for its talent.
If the professional industry wants to avoid a future of no long term stars and even lower profits, it seriously time to consider a new deal.
Agencies pay half of the test cost, the studio booking the talent pays the other half.
This might seem unfair to the studio but no reason why the studio can't shoot several scenes with the same talent over the 7 days and then space the releases of the scenes months apart (makeup, wardrobe, setting, most fans won't know the real date of production)
If Kenzie ever does return, I'm guessing she would be more willing if she was only paired with talent who had a fresh test (maybe they go take their test and wait for their test results together before shooting later that day; not even a few hours apart or a full day where an idiot might be irresponsible and fuck someone unclean before showing up for a scene making the fresh test pointless)
Paying performers residuals for sales is probably never going to happen so paying for the tests seems like pennies in comparison. Without the talent, companies have no new product to offer.
Don't tell me the mega porn companies like MindGeek and Gamma don't have the money. Especially when their HQ aren't even located in the US so when it comes time to file their taxes they likely use loopholes saying their income was actually made in a separate country.
If we assume an agency gets a 20% cut of whatever the talent they rep earns for a scene, you're telling me they can't use a portion of that for testing fees?
Easier solution would be for all the legit agencies and studios to band together and purchase/own their own industry testing facility and then have zero fees for testing as long as talent are signed to an agency (incentive to sign with an agent instead of self book)

I'm genuinely sad that she's leaving. She has legitimate supermodel looks and seemed to be enjoying her scenes, however I fully support her and wish her well. The industry needs to look at her concerns because they are lagging so far behind on the health and safety of the performers.

Same could be said about countless girls who don't warrant higher status. It's all thanks to a good agent, PR team and whoever judges at award shows fancy a particular year. I won't specifically name anyone to criticize their looks as that's frowned upon here as some performers in the industry may visit or post here but I'll just say there are plenty of contract stars or Performer of the Year winners who's appearance is nothing remarkable IMO yet I'm constantly told by sheeple how they're must watch.
At least Kenzie has the look and had some type of following (even if not massive) before doing hardcore porn. I mean look at how the industry props up Maitland Ward who as a regular actress was probably never better than a C-list type star. She got more popular doing cosplay stuff because she was attractive and then doing hardcore porn made her more popular than her movie/TV career ever did.

i dont think that kenzie have many scene unreleased ,, maybe 3 or 4 more . Some companies take at most 8-9 months to release a scene , so maybe a hope haha

after a few months of slow/declining popularity, girl makes an announcement that they're returning to mainstream (basically, they realise they need a steady stream of money at this point) so there's a big deal, few more scenes with big producers like Brazzers/Vixen etc, before the inevitable "I'm going to OF only folks, follow me for my content!" when they're going to go back to locking themselves behind a paywall, and the cycle starts over
girls seem to forget - the fans are driven from porn. no-one finds someone random on OnlyFans and just subscribes unless there's enough content to work out if that account is worth $15 a month - pornstars have the avenue of attracting and driving fans through mainstream presence, and making OF money on the side. but once a girl disappears from the mainstream scene, they effectively become invisible to new porn fans, girls need to realise their money is coming from PORN fans who only buy their OF content because they like them in porn, and want more of them.
