If there is one more Wicked feature wherein the female protagonist is a crazed murderer - I am going to scream. What is the deal over the last 12 months? A female friendly company continuingly featuring crazy psycho bitches slaughtering their fucks. What exactly does that communicate?
Is there actually an increase lately? Am I being too sensitive?
It also makes me curious - How many features can you list that have a female lead that kills - literally?

I suspect it is probably considered more PC these days to have a female killer than having a man killing women. If a man kills a woman than the viewer must favor violence towards women. Bear in mind these are not my personal thoughts on the matter, just a guess as to why it is occurring. Of course it could also be the male attraction towards bad women and they are figuring who's badder than a killer.

That's an excellent point.
But the violence aspect still bothers me. But I guess people do whatever sells.

I think it's more just that sex and death are pretty commonly interwoven in fiction generally, and because Wicked is a company that still tries to tell stories sometimes, it's going to pop up.
That doesn't make it good. I've complained about it too. My problem wasn't with the violence itself or with any sexist aspect, but just that it isn't sexy.
Without offering a list, I'd say that there are many, many movies going a long way back starring female killers -- especially if you count vampires. Sometimes you hit a little run of them just by chance.

Just a bad run, eh?
Awww, alright.
I'm happy to see you back, Obi. Even if it is just for a bit. :)

A female lawyer fed up with the justice system
and her own ridicule as being the worst lawyer in town

and when all hope is lost , they will look to one lawyer ,
Sheri Brown , to lift up the town from it's ignorance toward true justice

Except , these killer femmes have only one thing in mind.
A thirst for candied fruits .

Just a little cameo after updating that thread on an interest even more obsolete than the porn feature: porno novels. Good god, I'm old.

porn mimics mainstream/indie trends. coming up with a new concept requires effort.
i am not really familiar with this sub-genre, but are the chicks violently pro-active heroines or just batshit-crazy bitches?
one is at least attempting to portray a strong female role, the other is just lame.

I think most people feel this theme should have ended with Basic Instinct. Apparently Wicked didn't get the memo.

oh, but i thought the world was demanding a basic instinct 2. isn't that why they took their time hand-crafting that godfather-2-esque masterpiece?
