Is it me or is this video a piece of crap? It seems like they took about 3 minutes of footage and somehow extended it into a full-length movie! Between the looping of the same footage over and over, the use of reverse negative shots to make it look like different footage, I feel like Vivid is not giving the viewer any credit at all. Do they really think that this can fool us? I mean, they used the same sound bit of Kim saying "Baby" to Ray J about 20 times.
A loop is a repetition of the same scene over and over again. I'm not a fan of this either. It seems wrong and a way to for them to get more bang for their buck, while I get less bang for mine.
I agree. Better customer service by Vivid would have been to just offer this on their website as a 10-minute short...not to charge $39/per copy for an inflated DVD. But, they shelled out $1 million, and have to make it back somehow.
Oh, since this topic seems to be pretty "open" about Kim, I may as well go on record as being the only man in America who does NOT think Kim Kardashian is hot. She's no Jessica Alba, Eva Mendez or JLo...or, even a Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now, those are celebs I'd pay $39/per dvd to see fucking for just three minutes.
Sorry, not my type.

I thought it was overhyped and very disappointing.
Normally I enjoy Vivid films, but this is ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves for putting this out. They clearly had a plan with big marketing and “controversy” to hype it. And in the end it all equals a lot of sales for big money for the company.
Yeah...maybe this dvd should be re-titled "Vivid Screws Everybody." After obtaining legal rights to a personal sex tape (from RayJ who owned the camera & videotape) Vivid screws Kim Kardashian by putting her private sex acts on the street--causing her public humiliation. Then by charging $39/per copy for a ten minute loop, Vivid screws anyone willing to fall for the hype and shell out the money.
Gee, maybe this is what my friends mean when they say the porn business is "obscene." It's not the sex, it's the lack of ethics and morals.
Although I agree, she is no celebrity. Ray J is probably considered a bigger celebrity, and even that is stretching it. In actuality, there were no celebrities in this celebrity sex tape. Go figure.
So just like Olander said: Who is this person???
I've never heard of her.

It's not just you. It really is a piece of crap. I just recently rented and watched the video, and was very disappointed. I have never watched a so-called "celebrity" sex tape before because I figured they were all probably lame, and I never watch anything by Vivid for the same reason. But I made an exception this time because I was just curious to see it. This video could have been much better than it is, but I blame Vivid Video for it being so jacked-up. I guess it was too much to expect for the studio to just release the video exactly as it was recorded without all the crappy editing, added background music, and annoying voice dubbing. This is exactly the kind of thing that Vivid would do to kill a potentially entertaining flick. Also, the highly-rumored and much-anticipated golden shower scene is not included on the DVD- no big surprise there, but still disappointing. Of all the studios to sell this video to, why Vivid?Word on the street is that she was actually involved in negotiating the sale of the video, so maybe it's not really all that humiliating for her.Are there ever?
That's just Vivid "spinning" the story to try to make them not come off sleazy because they're releasing private sex that the girl doesn't want released.
My understanding is they offered her some money (in return for her consent), but she said "no." Since they had a signed document from RayJ (who owns the camera & videotape) they could legally release the tape. It's scumming and an example of the low ethics and morals practiced in the porn industry nowadays.
In the eyes of Vivid I guess Kim Kardashian's First Amendment rights don't count!
C'mon fellas everybody who saw the video knew it was going to lame before even watching it but that's not the point. The point is the current wave of mass hysteria surrounding celebrity. If you didn't know Home made porn is pretty bad a the best of times why would celebrities be any more talented in pointing a camera than you or I? Furthermore the sex we have at home is totally different than the pornography we watch. I mean when was the last time you put your partner in anal full nelson or pile driver. Its funny cause I remember a conversation I had with my brother and he got the idea from a porno that while have sex in doggy while spreading one of her checks to side would improve the sensation. LMFAO! what an idiot! Anyways my point is this nobody wants to watch a porn made my jane nobody cause chances are it isn't going to be good, especially if there not experienced. However if jane krakowski puts out a sex video we suddenly the public can't wait to get their paws on it expecting that she should be fucking like a porn star. From another prospective i never even heard of Kim Kardashian before this little incident so if the goal of the video was to get her name out maybe it has worked or maybe Raj jay releasing a new album, interest marketing tool
Piece of crap video. Piece of crap company. They like to make out like they're this high and mighty studio who can take porn into the mainstream. But they're not and cannot. Everything they put out just stinks. The picture quality, the menus, the "bonuses", the chaptering, the decade old phone sex ads, the misleading compilations even the Vivid girls are mostly skanks who aren't fit to wipe the ass of an average free-lance girl. Vivid = RIP-OFF.
In the eyes of Vivid I guess Kim Kardashian's First Amendment rights don't count!
That's right as soon as you find yourself screwing or whatever on video tape, First Amendment is out the window. If you think otherwise **YOU** are naive.

Actually, Paris Hilton wasn't really famous when 1 Night in Paris came out. Her fame was on par with a C-List celebrity at that time. In fact, the porn is pretty much what MADE her famous (the porn tape came out, then she was on The Simple Life, and her name started to get huge). I think Vivid was hoping the same thing would happen with the Kim Kardashian sex tape; that it would make her famous and make her a big name, and thus they would get more and more sales of her sex tape, just like Red Light did with the Paris Tape. But, in the Kim Kardashian case, I just don't think that will happen...

Rumor has it that there was a golden shower in the original video recording, but that it was deleted from the DVD release by Vivid.
The fox series..Simple Life was already shot.....the news of the tape "leaked..he he he" a few days before the show aired........but it came to the market months after the Simple Life was already on the air.....
