it makes me confused how so many Americans go on about the wonders of a therapist, the help they get from speaking to their therapist and going through proper support for mental health issues etc

then we have girls like Kimmy who openly discuss their mental health issues and struggles on social media, but don't seem to want to go down the treatment route to resolve the trauma

I think you guys are attributing to dysfunction what can often better explained by "my brand is chaos and my fans love that about me"

Let's drop the armchair diagnoses please. I think most of what Kimmy says is not quite serious, and even if it is, you don't actually know she isn't getting help. She tells us what she wants to tell us and/or what she thinks her fans want to hear.
