What could it lead to...? The Star Trek 'Holodeck' fuck simulator.
Really, it won't (or at the very least, highly unlikely to) get official endorsement from Microsoft, but the potential is there to make a killing from this type of technology or what it leads to, once hardware developers set aside their "morals".
Robotics itself, won't become a mainstream interest until someone makes the first viable sex-bot... What all of this will lead to is the successor to porn as we know it, and a decrease in actual human relationships forming. It does mean though, that many people will get a sex-life of sorts.
I'm all for it. It's a personal choice thing, and if one can attain happiness fucking a simulation forever, than ultimately, what harm is that? Better that, than unwanted pregnancies on an overcrowded planet and dysfunctional relationships.  [Link] |

It's been forever and then some since I saw BrainStorm, but I recall that some one "recorded" (with their special sensory experience recorder) having sex with a girl. Then a "tech" got hold of the "tape" and looped the last few seconds, including his orgasm. Tech guy then put that loop in and played it back, twitching over and over again in mental orgasm. That's what killed him. Hell of a way to go?
