There was some techniques used years ago with old hardware that gave good results, with the new technologies I think it is possible to have better ones. But, of course, we must have more than one camera (some friends did homemade wonders with three fixed little sony handcams, 600 eur) and more than one cam worker. It's not a risky investment I think. The post-production may be longer, may need more skillz. Do you want to sell masterpieces or piecesofshit ? If you want to be recognized in your works you have to work, of course, and work hard, but you also have to invest. Good work no need no promotion. Putting something out in 2007 is not "still producing". Sure, Kink has put out a few scenes like that and maybe there was a live Brazzers session that had that once but it's a rarity. The Gangbang Girl series by Anabolic was hugely popular and it almost always had a simultaneous gangbang of 2 girls as one of the scenes. They were putting out at least a couple every year from the early 90's up till 2002, put out one more in 2004 and the last one in 2007 and nothing since. All the major companies ARE NOT producing this anymore with an occasional exception because as was said, it doesn't pay. There is no real premium paid by the porn viewer for 2 girls getting gangbanged over that which he would pay for one getting gangbanged. You have to pay double the rates for the two girls, you have to pay for a lot more male performers, you have to pay for multiple camera operators and what you wind up with is either a very long scene where you are basically seeing only one girl being serviced by the guys at one time, the two girls being serviced at the same time but the camera switching from one girl to the next or a mix of the two. I've never been a fan of orgies because it's impossible to shoot one where all of the action is visible on screen except on a wide shot but the camera is never really following a performer so much as showing everything from a distance. Normally what happens is that you get a mix of shots of a group of performers and a mix of wide shots but when the camera is showing one group of performer then the others are still having sex of camera. Kink may still shoot a scene like you want but they certainly won't make any money on it. [Link]

Kink used to list the rates for different sex scenes but they now only show rates for a limited amount of things so I'm guessing what the current rates might be based. They currently put the rates for a female shooting a b/g scene at 600$ to 1300$ and I'm guessing that 1300$ is for anal. That means that the rate for a DP must be higher than 1300$ and a gangbang has to also be higher since we're now talking about a scene that includes, anal, dp, rough sex and multiple partners. Let's say that a gangbang rate for a female performer goes from 1500$ to 2000$. Male performers seem to be limited at 200$ to 400$ for a b/g scene and I don't think it matters if they are in a gangbang or doing a one-on-one. For argument sake I will use 400$ per male. That basically means that a gangbang involving 1 female and 4 males will cost Kink a minimum of 3100$ to 3600$ just for the performers. If you want to have 5 or more male performers then you need to add 400$ each time if he has sex with the female. That means that a 2 girl scene will probably cost Kink 6200$ to 7200$ and I still claim that this will not increase the number of new members. That doesn't mean that it's a bad idea because you can always shoot 2 scenes with a similar theme but where they are stand alone and get released one week apart. [Link]
