KM: You went from Army veteran and vitamin specialist for a biochemist to real-estate work, then into the swinging lifestyle and eventually professional porn. What was the moment you decided life was too short and fully committed to becoming a performer?

Krystal Sparks: Thinking of the moment I decided life was too short, well that would take me back to when I was about 28 years old. Over 10 years ago now. Up until about 27 I was a devout christian. Extremely devout. So devout, I would keep the ten commandments on my nightstand where I would go over them every morning and night. I would say, while I prayed, but there were no "times" I prayed. I was in constant communication with, what I thought was, the "Christian" God. Along the way, I found I am not a religious person at all. I hold the same beliefs. well, mostly. I would say the biggest difference in my life at that time was the freedom I gained to actually live my life to the absolute fullest potential. As, very much, intended. It was because of this I decided I would never turn down the opportunity to learn something new and true to my authentic self. That naturally created the most massive butterfly effect. Within the year I met my now husband, who then taught me there was, and should not be, any shame attached to my sexual fantasies, every day dreams and desires. He helped me out of survival mode and believed in me. That also makes a difference. Covid hit and, I was lucky enough to continue my day job. but I couldn't just let everyone else have all the fun! Do you remember that?? People were doing everything they could to stop themselves from going crazy from cabin fever. Sourdough, TikTok, everything went to online sex! People were coming up with every-which-way to make money. I got my real estate license and started an OnlyFans account/AVN Hall of Fame collection! (Shooting content with guys like Marcus London and Tommy Gun.) I am just now getting into making my own sourdough.. After covid restrictions lifted, AVN started back up again. I was introduced to Sandra with OCM and the rest is history. So, there wasn't really ever a "moment" that I decided life is too short so I got into porn. It's more like a culmination of moments and love of life and exploration.

KM: Your stage name has a cool backstory - you loved crystals, and combined that with your biological last name Sparks. How did that name stick with you all the way into the adult industry?

Krystal Sparks: Krystal Sparks is just the perfect porn name! It was nothing shy of pure fate! I needed to come up with something when I started up my OF. Back in my late 20's I did dabble in camming. For a very short period of time. I used the name then. I first came up with and used the name Krystal Sparks as an alias when I left home... before I was legally permitted. I had good reason and, looking back, I am grateful and thankful to my younger self that I did so. At that time, I was 14. I had lived in my adopted parents home for 7 years. That is a long story I will not get into now however, I will say, when I needed to come up with my alias, it only took me all of two minutes. It just came to me. I love crystals. Easy, real and, most importantly, easy to remember. My birth surname, Sparks. I do not like, however, how crystal looks spelled with a c. I did not feel that communicated my personality as it would if it started with a k. At that time, I thought I was being soooo original. Simple/short answer? I am a pretty simple person and don't like my time being taken up by things I already have solutions for.

KM: You and your husband were already in the hotwife/swinging lifestyle and started creating content during COVID before you signed with OC Modeling after meeting Sandra at AVN in 2023. How did that transition from amateur/lifestyle content to professional studio sets feel?

Krystal Sparks: The transition from amateur/lifestyle content to professional studios sets was so intimidating! I was a nervous wreck! In the lifestyle/making amateur content my husband was always there. We would meet the people, or person, before hand. We were able to grab drinks and get to know each other a little before possibly deciding to jump into bed. Professional shoots? I was on my own. Completely. I would of course go over in great detail how the shoots went after the fact. but I was still completely on my own in this. Even with a partner, maybe even more so if we are talking the talent/civilian dynamics, it can feel extremely isolating. There's only so much other people can do for us. Sometimes we need that challenge to push through. I got through though! I am so glad I did.

KM: In a short time you've already worked for studios like Penthouse, Hustler, TeamSkeet, MYLF, Naughty America, Girlfriends Films, and MILFVR, plus you won Best Female Porn Star at the ASN Awards. Which recognition or early opportunity meant the most to you?

Krystal Sparks: Well, I suppose the recognition that meant the most to me first was being fan nominated for AVN 2024 Hottest Adult Newcomer. That was a huge shock being my very first year! Then, in 2025 I won Best Female Porn Star at the ASN Awards and that was just crazy. My second year??! It is still just the beginning and I couldn't be more excited to see what else the universe has in store for me!

KM: As a petite busty brunette known for bringing real passion and exhibitionism to your scenes, what turns you on the most when the cameras are rolling? Any favorite types of scenes or energy that bring out your best performances?

Krystal Sparks: When the cameras start rolling, the thing that turns me on immediately, the most, is the thought that an unknown, hopefully rather large, group of people will be pleasuring themselves while watching me in my most vulnerable state. It's hot. So hot. I love it. I also happen to love having sex with strangers. so, that helps tremendously. I would have to say my favorite types of scenes are ones I can really act in. I love playing the different characters. I love it. I love when I get to really go at it and get into it. Let me loose. I was made to fly and I do it very well because I really do just love it all so much.

KM: You're a real-life hotwife whose husband is very supportive (and handles a lot of the tech side). How does that dynamic influence the content you create and the way you show up on set?

Krystal Sparks: I would say the dynamic duo works in my favor. Greatly. I have it so easy! My husband is an IT genius and my biggest fan? Not to mention the Hot Wife content I have handed to me on a silver platter. I have had nothing but good experiences and I am sure I have my husband and the type of relationship we have to greatly thank for that. I am also not ignorant to the fact of how terribly lonely working as a s worker can be. I feel so strongly for the single talent in the industry and am constantly thinking of ways to play matchmaker in all sorts of fun ways. I just have adhd and too many things to actually do, so that is still on the todo list. Brings up another great thing of having my biggest fan as my husband. he keeps me on track. Well, he tries very hard. He actually just won his first award! ASN's Best Behind the Scenes Supporter! He really is. In many many ways. I think it's everything.

KM: Outside of filming you're into gardening, taking care of indoor plants and a greenhouse, watching crime shows, and you're passionate about elephant conservation. How do those hobbies keep you grounded while working in such a high-energy industry?

Krystal Sparks: I believe the hobbies I have are extremely beneficial for my soul in keeping me grounded. I love working with my hands. and the earth. I love being outdoors, watching outdoors, exploring outdoors. not necessarily because I enjoy the outdoors, though that's a given, I enjoy and love life itself. In all Her forms. It feels like a great balance for me. I wouldn't say my life is so different than my work. Clearly work is work and I am professional, punctual and respectful of everything/everyone involved, but I am truly lucky enough to now have a life I do not need a vacation from. On set is just another thing of human life to explore. The energy at conventions. I take mental and energy breaks for those. Need that extra boost I guess!

KM: What's one thing most fans don't know about you - something from your Army days, your pre-porn professional life, or just everyday Krystal that surprises people?

Krystal Sparks: I'm quietly obsessed with past lives and how souls keep coming back. I've been deep in Michael Newton's work - Journey of Souls, Destiny of Souls - spirit guides, life-between-lives, the whole thing. Most people who only know the content side would never guess that's what I actually sit around thinking about.

KM: How does sex on camera compare to your personal life and lifestyle experiences? Does one feed into the other?

Krystal Sparks: Sex on camera and my work differ in a few ways. When I am shooting I have to make someone else's image/idea come to life. My personal life and lifestyle experiences are all me! They do definitely feed into one another though. It all turns me on, which in turn turns me on, and then that turns me on!

KM: You've already built a strong presence with your podcast SwingShot: Live from the Red Rooster and a growing list of big-studio scenes. Is there a particular co-star, type of scene, or project you still really want to do?

Krystal Sparks: Oh there are SO MANY co-stars, types of scenes and projects I still really want to do. Too many co-stars to list (All of them), I still haven't done a ganging! I also will one day have a Star Trek parody under my belt as well. Maybe I should incorporate the gb and Star Trek? That would be so hot.

KM: Looking ahead, where do you see yourself in the next couple of years - more studio work, growing your creator platforms, expanding into production, or chasing that long-term dream of helping elephants in South Africa?

Krystal Sparks: I still have so much to learn in the next couple years. Too much yet to expand into production. I will be doing more studio work, growing my creator platforms and I am already helping the elephants! I have adopted and provide milk for 3 orphans currently! I would say the African journey is more of a 10 year plan. Same with production. ;)
