She also removed her name and any association with a booking agent website specific to Canada, that was using her name. However I noticed her sister is still listed as actively booking work. The issue of Lanny Barby gone missing first came up on the gossip sites like Luke Ford and PS Babylon months ago when AVN ran the story about being on the set of RED with Tera Patrick. It featured all the Vivid girls except Lanny Barby. Up until that point nobody really knew she wasn't around. But some digging and we found that she actually "went on leave" at around the time some retailers starting pulling their copies of Stood Up because of a scene that featured Lanny Barby and her real life half sister Kimberly Franklin. The two performed on camera together sexually. However later on it would be revealed that most incest laws (which do vary by state mind you) don't seem to have any specific clause for sister - sister, so turns out that with most states you could be lesbo with your sister and nobody would care. I was very surprised to hear this news but it came from a lawyer and I seen a copy of the letter myself.So her leaving the industry couldn't have been an issue with that movie as previously speculated, so those wondering about why she left were still left to ponder what the real reason was. So far, at least as much as I know, nobody has ever figured out why she took a break. Her website still seems to be up but has dropped drastically in traffic, at least according to Alexa.
