Since Private seems to have some difficulties with the high demand, only 2 days ago I received 7 of the ordered DVDs. When asking about the 2 missing DVDs Rob told me that these were still on backorder and could take another few weeks, and he asked me if I wanted to cancel the order. I told him that it was ok to keep them on backorder and send them as soon as they arrive. Now he wrote back and answered that he couldn't guarantee that they'd still be at the low Private sale price when they get back in. I was quite astonished since I had definitely ordered them for that price and didn't know this could be changed afterwards. In the meantime all the stores have quit the Private sale, except DVD Empire. But I've never ordered from them before, and in order to have a guaranteed international shipment like I had ordered from Lasersedge (via DHL), I'd have to pay another $33.90 just for the shipment of the two titles, and one of these titles is out of stock at ADE, too. What do you think ? Is it possible to increase the price of an order afterwards ? Would you cancel the order ? Thanks a lot for your comments. Greetings, Spesedy  [Link] |

But, that was the point when you ordered them at the time, to be able to get them at the cheaper price. So they should honour that price, in my opinion. Otherwise, what's the point of taking advantage of a "sale"?  [Link] |

We raised the price of the PRIVATE SALE titles back up due to PRIVATE being so slow at fufilling these orders and our distributors started raising the prices on us as well. However, we ARE honoring all sale pricing on these titles. We have only raised the price on all new orders. I will ship your order via GPM and only charge you for the discs once they arrive. Please email me directly at orders@lasersedge.com and I will put you back in for the missing items. Again, sorry for the confusion. As you can tell this PRIVATE sale has gotten quite a few of us (e-tailers) mixed up. Rarely does a sale happen and the manufacturer/distributor not have any stock. Thanks [Link] |

I just hope that the DVDs will reach me via GPM since a lot of my packages sent via GPM from FiveStar have been seized by German customs as I've just written in another thread in the International Shopping forum.
