I usually order two DVD's per week under the $1.99 shipping special, since the new year.

I've two packages from which haven't turned up, I was wondering has anyone else experienced this....

There's a similar thread in this forum that covers the same topic. Do a search a read the outcome (which was good BTW).

It helps if you state things like where you are ordering from etc.

To give you a guide, I ordered from Laser sunday 2nd feb, it arrived today Monday the 10th feb. 8 days - pretty good (i'm in london)

Most i've had to wait was 12 days.

Hope this helps.

Yes,

I have ordered Euphoria, about August 2002, until today,
I have not get it yet.

I think it's catched by custom.

For Europe I have experienced that much delay with the Laseredge special shipping. Just be patient Pep, it will show up.

I have ordered once from erodvd. That took 10 days to arrive. That's from Holland to Denmark, and we are almost neighbours. I had already given up all hope.

The post works in mysterious ways, but it has a knack of turning up in the end.

I got my DVD today from Laseredge which they shipped on 2/11. A week is not bad (from the US to Holland). I will order more from them for sure because I really like their prices and shipping costs. Jaded and AdultDVDEmpire could learn a lot from Laseredge.

Just had a 2-DVD shipment arrive today, which was shipped on 31st January, now I'm just waiting for another one which was shhiped on the 16th January.....

...maybe they're not stolen after all...

I e-mailed marc from lasersedge last week and he said that they have had some slow delivery times recently.

Maybe you should do the same PeP!

Hi all,

Can someone explain to me what Lasers Edge shipping rates now are to the UK as I cant make sense of the new shipping details on the site?

Many thanks

Same as always, $1.99; but now you only pay the shipping one time per order. So if you order 4 discs and we ship you two right away and then 2 more later on (due to out of stock/backorder) you only pay the shipping charge for the first shipment, the second shipment has no shipping charge. In order to do this all discs must be part of the same order. Multiple orders are charged $1.99 for each order. Please note: YOU MUST SELECT "ADULT SHIPPING SPECIAL"

Thanks
Marc

That's bad news for me also because Laseredge said they shipped a DVD on 3/14/2003 to me and another one on 3/18/2003 but so far nothing yet.

Maybe I should stick with Gamelink only because they have never let me down. I guess this $1.99 shipping was too good to be true after all :-(

You're not the only one.

Here is my order history with them complete with the date supposedly shipped:
25-02-03 2 dvds received
26-02-03 1 dvd not received
14-03-03 2 dvds received
18-03-03 1 dvd not received
18-03-03 1 dvd not received
(BTW I live in England not Kabul ot the North pole)

So at the moment I've received only 4 out of 7 discs; as you can imagine I'm not best pleased.
I haven't contacted them yet as I want to give those shipped on the 18th a bit longer first. I will contact them by the end of the week though unless they all miraculously turn up.

It seems that too many discs are going astray for this to be just bad luck and I'm beginning to suspect something more fundamental here. I'm not suggesting they are deliberately ripping people off (I'm sure they aren't) but whose to say their system isn't flagging up discs as sent that are getting lost in their logistics chain?

It really doesn't matter what the shipping costs is, if you buy something you should expect to receive it. I don't care what it says on their site, the idea that you are paying for goods that might never actually receive is ridiculous. As far as I am concerned the dvds are not my responsibility until they have been delivered to the address I ask.

Anyway, I'll keep you informed of what transpires. There is a saying that goes 'if you're happy with the service tell your friends if you're not happy with the service tell us'. To that I add 'and then if you still not happy with the service tell the world'

Their system tells you if they've shipped the goods - after they've sent them then you're at the mercy of the postal system.

But DO get in touch with them, sooner rather than later. In my experience it's always best to make the company you're dealing with aware of any problems, and politely let them know what you expect them to do about it! Marc at Laser's Edge has always been extremely helpful to me, so speak to him and see what he can do for you.

I've recently had one package still unaccounted for but this is for the very first time from Laser's Edge, otherwise I have had many packages successfully delivered by the $1.99 special. Recent orders have taken longer to arrive than it was doing earlier in the year, it's now more like two weeks - I got orders shipped on March 18th today (I am in Scotland) so you will hopefully get yours soon Sir Noel!

Guys

Please do contact me anytime something goes missing. If it takes more than 30 days to arrive let me know. We have had some longer delivery times recently, not quite sure why just one of those quirks that happen. Probably should be back to normal soon. However we have had a few suspect shipments go missing, can't really go into the details yet as I still am waiting to hear back from our mail handler.

We are trying to sort this out the best we can and take care of all our loyal customers. I can assure you that just because it is $1.99 for shipping doesn't mean that it is lesser service. It is the same service we have always used (delivery sometimes as fast as 5 days!) but for some reason it has had a few hiccups as of recent. I am have been working daily with our mail handler to see what is going on with "missing" shipments.

If you have one and it has been longer than 30 days, please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks for your response Marc (and Gabriel),

I'm in a little bit of a quandary now as I want to give the last two discs a bit longer (considering Gabriels remarks), I don't want to end up complaining twice and I accept Marcs request to contact him if 30 days go by.
On balance I'll email Marc now I reckon.

FWIW Sir Noel, I've only made 3 orders with Laser's Edge in the last six months, but all were received within 2 weeks of the shipping date (last one was shipped on 14/2, stamped at London sorting office on 23/2 - I was on holiday then so don't know exactly when it arrived at my place)

Thanks for the info DeuxChevaux.

I should say that following the discussion here Marc from Lasersedge contacted me of his own volition.

Maybe I was slightly abrupt with my original comments. Having spoken with Marc I am sure a satisfactory outcome will be reached and I would like to reiterate what has already been said by others that if you have problems contact them.

Sir Noel.

Fellows, good of Marc to post here as usual. He's also resolved my problem, more than to my satisfaction (obviously I order under my real name).

Noel, I should have been a little clearer - I was essentially trying to say that it's best to contact the company first, and then make it public if they are failing to meet their obligations. I've found that most genuine suppliers will do what it takes to keep customers happy.

So in short, I'd say give them the time, but let them know the current state of play too.

Very strange. Today I got my DVD from Laseredge which was shipped to me on 3/18/2003 but I still haven't received the one that was shipped to me on 3/14/2003. I will wait two more weeks before I e-mail Laseredge about it.

If you're going to buy a lot of titles, I'd suggest using the couriered delivery service, rather than the regular mail. More expensive than 1.99 but safer, as it can be tracked.

I got a credit for $60, but I was told it wouldn't be credited again. If anything, just order 1 at a time.....I lost faith in this 1.99 remailing service.

The other airmail type packages-Global priority, USAP are little better. The bloody war have fucked up the mail service
