I just want to hear people experience using LasersEdge
to Asia Pasific country.

Is that reliable ? How many days ? How they pack/warp
the DVD ?

PS. I really want to do business with LasersEdge.

Thanks.

I've ordered twice, and both times the packages arrived between 1-2 weeks.

Seem fairly reliable - I just placed another order, so we'll see how it goes.

@tpr007,
Thank you for the reply.
I hope more people will reply this thread.

@Clubber,
It's still $1.99 at least that's what I saw from their web site.

It has not increased, you ordered an additional mainstream title on that order and it is $1.99 flat rate for adult titles and $.50 each additional mainstream title.

Thanks

Guys and gals,

It is indeed $1.99 and will be so for awhile. We are getting ready to launch a new site next month and we will definately be using this flat rate shipping to promote the new site. If I had to guess, you will see the flat rate shipping at least through the end of November, possibly the year.

Thanks for your interest.

Thats great news Marc, thanks for confirming.
At the risk of sounding really cheeky would there be any chance of an Evil Angel or an Red Light District distributor sale to go along with the launch of the new website ?.

We are currently working on a couple of things, but we don't have an exact launch date yet so we are waiting to see what our suppliers have on hand as we get closer to launch. But rest assured, we will have some sort of specials going on for the first month.

Thanks

I was wondering, if I was to order some adult DVD,s do ypu send the coverslips?

If you do is there any chance of having them mailed separately, in an envelope?

Dear Marc @ The Laser's Edge,
Thank you for your kindly support,
I just got the order confirmation today that the order
was shipped.
I hope you could keep that fax, so I don't have to fax again for my future order.
Nice, just can't wait for it

Thank you.

-------

@jibstar,

I don't know if the Lasersedge can send the cover seperately, better wait for Marc to answer that question.

But it's sure that DVDAdvantage send the the cover seperately by airmail without additional cost.

Thank you.

Dear Marc @ The Laser's Edge,

Are you extending the $1.99 International Shipping Rate option beyond September 30th? I have one order in, (ordered September 16th) and all the titles are still on backorder. Since you haven't made any announcement yet, I was wondering what's the story??

Thanks!

If I definitely knew a title was in stock I'd start placing more orders as the last couple of times they haven't been so I cancelled them.

@tpr007,

Yes, you're right, they don't implement the real stock indicator yet, hope the next update they will implement it.

tpr007 & ookz

We currently are looking at about a 2-3 day turnaround on all out of stock items (there are titles that our suppiers are sold out of that take longer on occasion).

The dilema we are facing with the new site is the fact that we also run a Brick & Mortar store that shares our inventory. The two systems (B&M & Website) are not integrated. This is currently not possible, but we are working on it. The new site will indicate our turnaround time on orders by title. Once we have integrated the two systems we will have TRUE inventory. We will also be indicating on the new site what titles from a specific order are in stock and what titles are on backorder so our customers can decide if they want to wait the 2-3 days on the backordered titles.

We hope to have it live sometime this month, we have run into a few snags with the ordering process that we are trying to iron out.

Thanks for your suggestions and support. We hope more will follow once the site is up and running.

I just found out that LasersEdge will NOT ship to an alternate address in Canada, only to the credit card billing address. Furthermore, they will ship to the credit card address only after receiving a FAX of your recent credit card statement. Quoting from their EMail:

"we will not be able to ship this order to the address you requested. I can only ship to the credit card's billing address and then only after I receive a more up-to-date statement."

This makes LasersEdge pretty much useless for Canadians. Why would anyone in their right mind have X-Rated DVDs shipped under their own name to their own address - you will end up on the customs list, and they will watch for you the next time you come back from a foreign trip.

While I can't comment on how Canadian customs works, and what they check and how often, I can say that I've had no problems whatsoever in getting DVDs shipped to me here in Australia from LasersEdge.

cheers,

Laser's Edge flat rate international shipping has been extended to November 30th.

To answer Ookz's original question, I've only used LE once but they shipped out my second order today and I hope to continue ordering from them. Their international shipping is unbeatable and they have good prices and selection.

There were a few quirks along the way, but they seem to be focused on the efficiency bottom line. And I hope their revamped website will lead to many happy returns

Shipping time to Melbourne seemed no different to any other retailer I've used, DVDs arrived safe and secure with original covers/artwork. I definitely recommend them to international customers.

@scipio & rieekan333,

Thank you for your reply,
I just put my first order with them last week still wait for it, I hope next week it will arrive.

After that I think LE will be my first priority for my future order since their Wicked's prices are cheapest

I used to know someone that worked for Canadian Customs but has since immigrated to Europe.

If Canadian Customs (actually, they are called the CCRA) inspects a video from the mail and considers it obscene, your name and address goes into their computer. It doesn't take much for them to consider your videos obscene, for example, if it has a2m, or if the inspector is just having a bad day. They know you won't challenge the confiscation.

There are 2 stages when you return from a foreign trip. First you line up, and when you get to the front of the line, he/she asks you if you have anything to declare, and also enters your name and address from your passport into the computer, which then produces a match. Everyone is given a "ticket" and proceeds to the second stage (where you pick up your luggage), except your ticket will be specically marked.

The customs officer at the second stage notices that you ticket is marked, and he/she will pull you aside, and do a thorough search of your bags. If you know this, then of course you won't have anything with you, but you will still be inconvienced.

It is simply dumb to have anything shipped under your name to your address, even if you don't consider it obscene.
