I think I undervalued Lauren's performances when she saturated the market with her mix of leggy, busty antics. Yes, I realised she was hot and talked trash like no one else, but she was always in films with so-so direction, and dialed in a few performances. (By her standards, that is.) So I'm interested in what people think is her very best scene ever (not release, mind you, as people will probably mention something like Lauren Phoenix's Fuck Me or her Buttwoman flick for Elegant Angel). While we're at it, what was her best interracial scene, because I've been reading the reviews here of her interracial scenes and some of them sound like far from her best work. I can't think of many performers as stellar as she is being so poorly used so often as to make someone feel sad. But she's a great girl. Astroknight in his review of ATM Machine 3 said "You can definitely see the star quality in her even back here, and sadly it looks like you can see some of what’s happened since this scene going to her head now." I'm not sure what he meant, not having seen the scene, but I've been wheeling out every scene I own of hers this afternoon, about ten or eleven in all, and have been amazed by just how many of those seemed dialled in. Mind you, a dialled-in Lauren Phoenix performance is still a heck of a scene, but all that aphoristic angst about wasted potential leaves me somewhat glum and melancholy about her career. Which is why it'd be nice to get a take on what was her best scene. From what I have, I'd have to say her scene in 'I'm Your Slut 2', although friends tell me her 'Angels of Debauchery' scene was the pinnacle. Love her in the socks ad though. I spotted two films I hadn't considered before - DOUBLE DIP ER 3 by Fran Le (CJ's review gives Lauren's scene 5 STARS! Gotta trust Crucifixio.) and BOMB ASS WHITE BOOTY, although knowing my experiences with WCP films, it'll be much less than I'll expect. [Link]
