there are no federal pornography laws except child porn
period.
obscenity is determined by a jury and only invokes federal charges when it crosses state lines
you could easily google this stuff

I'm talking about a DVD produced in the UK destined for a US market. I assume there are a load of hoops to jump through before it can be released. Like classification, review by a review board, etc. Thats if it's even legal to retail UK porn in the US. Ive spent hours looking at sites trying to find info about it but the majority of it makes no sense.
Ive already spoken to people at adultdvdempire, etc. about retailing I just need to know what I need to do before they can stock it.

The US is the land of the free. Just ship the product to the retailer and sell it. No classification, no review board.

Seriously?? Thats amazing. What the hell am I doing over here where they cut Pirates because they thought there was no proof that consent was given by the performers.

Problem with US laws is, that you only know later, if your movie is considered illegal
