What a shame, Leah announced her retirement on Twitter yesterday.I had only recently become familiar with her scnes when she was doing G/G but I really started paying attention when it came to light she had started shooting B/G and say how damn fine she looked and how much she really seemed to enjoy it. Alas, she only shot a handful of about 5 or 6 B/G scenes before making her decision. A real shame, I was just getting into her, but regardless it's encouraging that she's had the insight to realise that the porn life is not for her and that she is taking active steps for her own peice of mind. ^^ I don't know about Brazzers but she has a scene recently shot for Fresh Girls 3 by Chris Streams (JJV) that's waiting to be released . She may well have shot Brazzers and Evil Angel before she retired but I haven't seen anything on her Twitter about it. I guess we will see any scenes that she shot before retiring gradually trickle through so we should make the most of what we get from this point on .
It's her choice of course, but for fans it's kinda frustrating that before a porn girl is getting big she is already retiring. Aren't there any girls more left who want to make a real long career in porn (aka Julia Ann - 20 years and counting)???

In fairness, 20 years has always been extremely rare, but I dont think 10 years is too much to ask for. But that would require talent agents that actually care about their careers. Were lucky when we get 5 years out of these girls.
^No offense but how many performers do you know who have or had a career that spanned a decade? I know of a few women but they are by far the exception to the rule. In fact even 5 years in porn is a major achievement few women ever attain. These days if a woman can do porn for more than a year than it's pretty impressive.

Sad to see her go. She has put out probably the most memorable ir scene. Though to me a cuckold in the video would take it up a notch. I'm sure we could both come up with a list of women doing porn long term who are at the very least equal in looks to Leah and as big a list of women that are even better looking. As to why so many women leave the industry within just a few months. Maybe they quickly realise that the easy cash they were promised isn't as easy to make as they thought and comes with a lot more hard work than they might have been lead to believe. You couple that with the stigma associated with doing porn and maybe you can see a reason why the huge some of money some of these women can make in a short amount of time is not worth it. Of course that's just my theory.

This is why Im always reluctant to get excited about 18 year old girls in porn. They are really not wise enough and seasoned enough to understand the weight of their decisions. We also experienced the same issue with Mia Khalifa (even though I think she was 22). But also Teal Conrad - even though she isnt yet officially retired, she has done almost nothing the past 18 months. I really wish all girls would go the route of Eva Lovia - who happens to be my favorite of all the active porn stars.

I really dont understand the logic or mentality behind those trying to steer or tell pornstars what's best for them. Porn isnt a career or long term thing for most of these girls anyway and it's not like the industry doesn't have a constant flow of girls entering the industry all the time. True, and the big downturn in production in recent years means that they can't make as much money as they use to so it isn't as attractive to tough it out. Also sounds like she may have been partying too hard, like many an 18/19 year old.
See this is where I think many fans miss the point of what it means to be a pornstar. Being a pornstar isn't just about having sex in front of a camera. it's not even how good you can pretend to enjoy having said sex in front of a camera. If that was all it took than most people who have or had sex in front of a camera would be considered a pornstar. Maybe that's all it takes for you but my standard are significantly higher. For me the title of pornstar is reserved for those women who offer more than just a good performance but also put in the time. That means they have to do porn for more than a few months. In fact it means more than one year. By default that means that Leah never really had the "talent" to be a pornstar because she didn't put the time and since she didn't shoot all that much porn before leaving than she also didn't put in much of a performance. That's not a knock on her decision to leave because I truly believe that if you think doing porn is wrong for you than the last thing you want to do is stick with it. Nothing good will come from such a decision.
^You are in the minority, since most seem to just want to see a hot girl have stuff done them and don't really care how good a performance they put on.

Everybody has a preference. Big asses, pretty faces, Latinas, Europeans, Brazilians, whatever. But all must have beauty. Have you ever seen an ugly girl to be a porn star? I never. I can tell a lot of beautiful actresses, but they aren't my favorite. Because I have my favorites. Leah has a pretty face and a beautiful body, this is my opinion. She had talent and this is my opinion.
