And with girls I know I'm not into at all, I'm likely to skip the scene anyway, no matter how long or short it is. But with girls that I do like, but don't love, it can become a problem. There are girls that I can happily watch for 20 minutes, but start to get bored when their scenes run over a half hour. My thought process for choosing movies is often something like this: I'll see that there are two movies with a girl I love in them. In one of the two movies, the girl that I love will be the only girl in the cast that I like, or am familiar with, or want to get more familiar with. The other movie will have the girl I love, plus two other girls I like. So it's an easy decision to choose the second movie to watch first. If all the scenes in that movie are about 20 minutes long, then I know that the movie should have about an hour's worth of solid wanking material. But it does not follow that if the movie with one girl I love and two I like has scenes all in the forty minute range, that there will two hours of solid wanking material. Maybe. It's possible. But not necessarily. I may find myself getting bored with the long-running scenes with the girls I just like, and antsy to just skip to the scene with my fave girl. Ideally, the girl I love would have a long scene, while the girls I only like would have scenes about 20 minutes long. But of course, the girls I only like may be the girls that other absolutely adore, and vice versa. Even with the girls I love, I think I would often rather see them in two shorter scenes than one long one. Or at least, break up the long scene with changes in partners or settings. [Link]

(And if it's a scene you like it always goes by way too fast.) But movies these days, it seems like most scenes are 20 minutes plus, and it just seems like too much of a good thing most of the time, unless I'm really into it. [Link]

But the opening tease sequences are getting longer and quite frankly boring in many cases. Many scenes now have close to 20 minutes of chat, striptease, playing with toys, oiling up the body, all before the guy even appears, and then has to go through the whole tease routine again, worshipping the girl's ass, pouring more oil etc.. By the time the girl gives the guy a BJ I'm bored. And I find this formula is becomming the norm even for shorter scenes now. I like or prefer some kind of set-up or scenario, even if it's fairly basic, and that usually takes a few minutes itself. The ideal time used to be 12 minutes I was once told. And I've seen many 12 sex scenes that more then did the trick. I don't mind 30 or even 40 minute scenes as long as they flow nicely and isn't laced with too much repetitive or repeat footage.
