It's true that most women are not lesbians. There are more heterosexual and bisexual women than there are homosexual women in the world. But I'm not sure that's what you were trying to say here.
I think you were trying to say that most women who have a same-sex encounter or a same-sex relationship do not continue to be strictly homosexual for the rest of their lives. I have no numbers on that, but yeah I'm sure there are a fair number of women who have had a sexual encounter with a woman but also had an encounter with a man after that.
But does that mean that most women who consider themselves "lesbian" are just going through a "phase"? I'd say no.
And more importantly, I think that's a dangerous characterization to make, because then it makes people dismiss the sexual identity of women who do consider themselves lesbians. "Oh it's just a phase, you'll get over it and come back to the dick." Very dismissive and insensitive.

Sexist jokes aside, wouldn't it be the bisexual/pansexual/queer/fluid etc women using the lesbian/homosexual moniker the ones responsible for this mischaracterization rather than the people who simply get that impression from what they observe (outside of porn)? Whether or not it's true/statistically significant, to many it is at least perceptually more significant than self-identified heterosexuals who skip the fence (already significant enough for doctors to have to come up with "men who have sex with men").
Not saying that things aren't the same, any worse or any better when it comes to self-identified gay/homosexual men who end up not strictly adhering to the core tenets of the faith, but IMO it's also understandable that heterosexual (homophobic?) pervs would be less likely to notice that as they aren't exactly fascinated by the sexual antics of gay men.
Let's also be aware of the fact that many bisexual women identify themselves as Lesbian simply because they prefer to have actual relationships women and only sex with men. What they actually are is "bisexual & homo-romantics".

So, you're telling people what their sexuality is now? I find some men attractive and have made out with men but I'm not gay at all. I don't even see myself as bi. I heard this was called a scale. Most people are on this scale of how straight or gay you are. People here can easily see women being "gay for pay" but don't think a lesbian can do "straight for pay"?

^^^Lesbian has a pretty straightforward definition. People can identify anyway they want, but if a woman likes having sex with men, she's not a Lesbian, even if she identifies as one.
Gay for Pay performers more often than not are biding their time for a big payday by crossing over into B/G, or have male partner who doesn't want them having sex with other men. And it's easier to be do this when so few companies are actually interested in portraying authentic sex between women.
Straight for pay is technically possible, but very rare due to their being so few Lesbians in mainstream porn.
