Is it just me or the past five years or so have less new male performers entered the industry? I notice maybe a few new faces every year, that's it.
Anyone have any insight on this and if it's true or not? If so what would be some of the reasons?

it's very hard for new guys to get a foothold in the industry as the current guys lasts longer then the girls and most guys can work way intho their 40s.
And most of the guys have network connections with the directors and studios and many of the topgirls have a list with the guys they will work with

I already know that. What I'm really asking about is over the past few years if it's gotten HARDER for new guys to break into the industry than say the early 2000s or 1990s?

i think another reason is also the fact that nowadays there is less porn produced due to high piracy.

But is theft/piracy the only reason less new guys are entering into the industry? Is it possible there are other forces keeping them out?

I dunno, I seem to be seeing new actors on Brazzers and NA pretty regularly of late. They often don't make more than a handful of appearances, but lack of longevity is a different issue from not being able to get in to begin with.
The tried and tested method of tagging along with a hot girlfriend still appears to work, in any case. That boyish-looking guy (I forget his name) who came in with Sara Luvv seems to be getting booked semi-regularly by the companies specializing in softer/couples porn now, even though they're apparently no longer together.

What would cause a guy to not have "longevity" or to perform less frequently, versus the same guys you see EVERYWHERE doing new scenes constantly?

Well, I'll do it.
I have an average sized penis and always ejaculate prematurely. Do you think I have what it takes?
Send me a message if you're in the industry, impressed by my qualifications and are interested in hiring me.

^ My mistake then, I'd read somewhere on here that they separated around the time she started working with other guys.
