I see all these threads that make it sound like a woman is a racist if she's never worked with a black guy. Big deal. Maybe she's not turned on by black guys. That doesn't make her a racist. Alternatively, she might not want to be part of titles that quite often are marketed in a very racist manner...Abominable Black Man?...I still can't believe that's a series. I wouldn't blame a woman for not wanting to be part of anything like that.
while we disagree on some things, on this i totally agree with you.

This is one of the oldest debates in porn and I agree with some of what you speak. I agree that women should work with who they choose. The issue is the industry is filled with racist and they spew lies about the pitfalls of IR and some less than intelligent women fall for it.
In my book, I could care less who does IR. That doesn't mean that I don't want certain girls to do IR, but it doesn't shape my world. So many of these women look alike these days it's no bid deals.
I think girls in the biz are more dumb than racist and when I think about the "Brianna Banks, Jenna's, Julia Ann's (Despite her latest release)Stormy's and Devin Lane's, I have to laugh out loud. Regardless of the income, there careers were nothing more than pupetry and they will never reach the ranks of Jewel, Nina, Jeanna, Shyla and a great many others.
Teagan was on track to being the biggest news in the biz and now ain't too much said bout her.
Like I said, Julia Ann is the best example, Don't act like you did me a favor, or like you were opressed for the majority of your career. You hoped IR would sparke that last log you had on the fire and I believe you "IR" fans have spoken.

I have no idea what any of this means. It is literally unintelligible to me. On a related note, there is a whole other thread about white women having sex with asian men. I don't think white women should be forced to have sex with asian men either. And, if they are going to be, then why aren't asian men forced to have sex with black men and vice versa? The point is that the performances will be better if the actors get to choose who they perform with.
What makes BN think that the women don't get to choose? This is a forum, with no real pressure on the performers. Whatever is decided here won't change anything. But people get to air out their ideas. So what? It isn't making the decision for anybody. Just like some protest when a performer announces they are getting implants. People get it out of their system, industry lurkers - if there are any - see what part of their audience likes.
Why do you get these wierd ideas of force and all that when people are just stating what they would like to see? If a porn star is big enough, they can name a list of who they will work with. If not, they can work or not. Choices, choices.
What the hell are you going on about? Since when did anyone but the women decide who they'd work with. The girls aren't being raped. Like croy said, we (the porn fans) just make suggestions, at times a bit forceful, as to what we want to see them do, but the choice is entirely their's and always has been. Not only do the women decide who they'll work with, they also decide what acts they will perform onscreen. Some don't do anal, creampies, and some don't do men period. Do you have a problem with us making suggestions or confronting them about their decisions? Certainly consumers have a that right.
Of course people should get to choose who to work with. And if a girl does not want to do IR, it does not have to mean anything, about her personal preferences, her views on race or politics or whatever. Remember the controversy with Vicky Vette? People are to be viewed as innocent until proven otherwise, and accusations like that can hurt a person.

Well here's how it is. Women in the industry generally get to choose the particular acts that they will or won't do in the realm of b/g etc....but what they don't get to choose, last time I checked, are the physical features of the men they work with (i.e, whether they're bald, ugly, fat, hairy, tattooed, etc..).
And since one's skin melanin content is a physical feature it's rather inane to suddenly say you won't work with that person depending on this feature. It would be equivalent to saying you won't work with bald or tattooed guys.
That obviously wouldn't be tolerated, but apparently this particular type of discrimination is allowed, and it's primarily because of racist feelings that still exist among those in a particular segment of society, but also because given the racial demographics of this country and the industry being what they are this discriminatory policy is a luxury these women can afford.
Because if the situation was reversed they obviously wouldn't have a career if they decided not to do scenes with those males who had a melanin amount in their skins above a certain arbitrarily determined level.
I of course also support the right of the girls (and guys) to refuse working with people on other grounds.
Here's an example. Girls who shave their heads don't do much for me. Neither do girls with certain other characteristics. Yet if the girl I loved and lived with decided to shave her head once, or gained 40 pounds, I would not stop loving her nor kick her out (I'd try to convince her to reverse it though).
But if I was to look for a partner for sex, I would have certain requirements, because of personal preference. That's me, other people may have other preferences.
I don't know if it is possible to merge threads, but there is a similar thread in "Star Crossed".

Right?
I mean if you're going to go that far you might as well go all the way. In fact since South Park was going for shock value they should have gone for a real Michael Richards moment (and yes I know he was on the show). It would have been infinitely more entertaining and offensive.
Michael Richards made a cameo (animated) in the episode along with Mark Furman (sp?) from the OJ trial and some other guy. I caught the last 10 mins and it was pretty funny. They said the "n word" probably one or two dozen times, just in that part that i saw.

Because the old ones are probably locked. It's probably a matter of time before this one gets locked. It seems to happen everytime this subject is brought up sooner or later a pissing war begins.

I agree that the marketing of many IR titles goes overboard on the sensational element. We need more IR that is not focused on the "size" factor or the "victimization by black wood" thing.
Instead we simply need girls to feel comfortable working with regular black actors Tee-Real, Tyler Knight, Mr. Marcus, etc.. They aren't there to destroy the girls or split them in two. They just want to give a good performance.
I truly do think that some of these girls are incredibly uninformed and beleive that every black guy is hung like a horse.

I think that everyone simply has their sexual preference. I've heard of short guys who get wood for tall girls (because they want to feel like a small jungle animal climbing a tree perhaps) and other short guys who are intimidated by tall girls. It takes all types. The best way to deal with the issue would be to simply have a list of "dos" and "don'ts" filed for each girl with their agent. If the girl has interracial listed as a "don't," then get just get off her back about it.
Guys: this could very well mean that the performers just wanna work with their boyfriends/suitcase pimps!!! Imagine your favourite star in 20 scenes, with always the same guy... the horror!!!

That's the 1st intelligent thing I think I read from you, that said, the fact that you don't get it isn't my issue.
It's an overdone debate that you have absolutely no control over. Bottom line, women always do what they want and just like I hat anal scene where the girl doesn't enjoy it, I don't want to see some snobby bitch that doesn't want to be doing IR.
Why bitch...? There is plenty of good porn with a Vivid girls and from wat I've see, no matter how "Pretty" there are, they can't fuck worth a lick anyway.

Would she be a "snobby bitch" if she said she didn't want to have sex with a transvestite? What if she didn't want to have sex with Ron Jeremy or a midget perhaps? I don't think anyone should be called a "bitch" simply for having personal preferences. Otherwise, we may as well all be living in the Soviet Union circa 1950.

I think this is the first thing you have posted that I agree with.
I don't care if a girl doesn't want to do IR. Well, actually, I kind of do because I think some of the black guys crank out consistently good performances and there are some girls who I'd love to see work with someone who really knows how to fuck but if they don't want to do IR and would be miserable doing it, what's the point?
And yeah. I think it would be nice if the women could choose who they wanted to work with, regardless of race. Porn is all about the women so why not give them some choices? I like to see women gargling cum but I don't want to have the impression that they're being forced to do it. That only gives credence to anti-porners who have, all along, contended that porn exploits women against their will.
I don't want to see hardcore porn die. I would just prefer that the women who do hardcore porn are doing it because they choose to. If less hardcore porn is made because of that, so be it.
There are some girls who have no problems in doing IR. But as soon as they are signed to ''Couples Companies'',they all stop doing IR. A girl may be pro-IR,but if she is signed by those Companies then, they will be prevented from doing IR. The Company choses the type of males they want, and thus how BM get shunned out. I'm sure you all know which Companies I'm talking about. LETS juist say,Katsumi will never do IR again coz she is signed to such a Company like that.
The Julia Ann IR was a megaflop anyways. Seam Micheals is very unpopular with IR fans for some time now,COZ of his lack of stamina,he was way over exposed in the 90s,and he is at the wrong side of 50 years too old. If any Company wants to make an IR box office flop, they should use Sean Micheals. I'm a HUGE fan of Gina Lynn, but did not bother getting her scene with Sean Micheals coz I knew it will suck. He should have retired a long time ago.
You said you liked working Sean and you were under contract with Metro. There is that attitude out there that feature contract girls shouldn't do interracial scenes.
The first scene I did for Metro was an anal scene with Sean.
Do you think that has hurt you in any way?
Only in Texas.
You mean on the dance circuit?
I haven't danced in Texas , partially for that reason. I get lots of mail saying "You're so great, but why did you have to spoil yourself,"
So there is some negative feedback to this?
There is, but there is also plenty of positive feedback. I've worked with both Lexington and Sean. It balances out in the end.
