You hit the nail right on the head. This used to be my favorite company, now I don't even look at the content on the box-covers. They seem to be caught up in the movement to put out titles that are geared toward weird or weak shit. I personally don't care for lesbians, glory-holes, mommies and daughters, step-daddies, and so on. Oh well, it seems to be the sign of the times.

The non-anal thing they've got going on is kinda weird in modern porn, but at the very least they're continuing (for the while) to create new content and not simply pump out compilations cunningly packaged to hide their recycled origins (which is becoming the norm for some other companies).
I heard someone mention this very thing today - about the recycling and again said "like some companies are doing" but which companies are they talking about? Nobody ever really mentions which companies are doing this. I'm curious myself because I don't personally know of any that are and well would love to know who it is. If you don't mind telling me that is. :)

New Sensation/Digital Sin are becoming notorious for this. All new material seems to be a parody, every other thing that seems to be new is a compilation (with the very odd exception). It wouldn't be a bad thing (most of us know how companies are taking hits) if it wasn't presented as looking like new material; there is very little on the cover artwork to suggest a compilation of old scenes, you'd just have to be aware that anything that proudly touts "4 Hours" as a selling point, is just rebranded old stuff. I've noticed also that Red Light District have started to raid the archives and pump out compilations, but they've been doing it for a far shorter time. Those are a couple of the bigger/more notable companies worth talking about in relation to this.
Is there anyone who doesn't realize that the 4-hour, 20 scenes type of DVDs are compilations? The real issue is companies who present rehashed scenes in the same style as a regular DVD...Baby Doll/818 (and probably a host of other names) used to be one of the biggest offenders, not sure if they're still active. More recently there are a bunch of labels that seem to exist exclusively to re-release old scenes in new combinations...Pandemonium and Acid Rain come to mind, though there are undoubtedly more.
Ya I don't mind 4 hour movies because by now like you said, everyone knows they are comps. Anytime I see 2+ hours or 4 hours I just immediately assume comp.

^That still involves some prior familiarity with the nature of porn releases. Those who aren't as well informed or porn newbies (there are some - we were them once) could easily believe that they're getting a better deal from these releases than they actually are.
