New guy here, I am hoping the folks here can lend me a hand with a question. Back in the 90's I purchased a copy of the Mobster's Wife on VHS which had a masturbation scence with Lexus in the a hotel bathroom shaving herself, I believe. Over time I lost the VHS version and purchased the DVD later on. For whatever reason the DVD version of the movie does not have that scene which was really hot! I have purchased a couple version of the dvd from various merchants and they are all missing that scene and I have noticed that not all versions have the same footage?

Anyone here know what is the deal with this is and where I can find a copy of the movie with the deleted scene? I'd really appreciate any help I can get because as it stands today I have 3 versions of the movie but none with that scene.

Vivid has a history of editing older titles they re-release on DVD. I know that doesn't answer your question but it's something to consider when buying old Vivid movies.

As Fred Garvin said, this was Vivid's practice when they first started printing DVDs. I also own Mobster's Wife on both VHS and DVD and I was mad as hell when I first watched the disc.

I called Vivid about this to complain and their response was that they did not "have enough disc space" so they had to edit out certain scenes from their movies. This of course was a bullshit answer for two reasons:

1) I no longer buy Vivid DVDs but back then, all of their DVD's came with "extras" so they figured it was better to make room for the extra bullshit instead of keeping room for the entire movie.

2) At the same time Vivid started releasing their titles on DVD, Private was doing the same. So how was it possible that Private (whose discs were dual layered I believe) was able to fit an entire movie over two hours in length PLUS extras on to one disc but Vivid couldn't do the same?!

Also, a part of the scene involving Lexus and Mr. Marcus in the bedroom was edited out too. And the Masseuse 3, which was a great VHS title IMO, was also ruined when it was transferred to DVD.

Don't bother waiting for anyone from Vivid to address this topic. They don't post here.

Hope that answers your question and please forgive my rant.

I think the G/B/B scene on Taylor Hayes' room and one in a dark alley with Jon Dough? in it were omitted in the DVD.

Jon Dough was not in the Masseuse 3. Maybe you mean James Bonn?

I can't remember exactly (it's been a long time), but the scene involving Taylor Hayes, Mr. Marcus, and Billy Glide was cut out completely . Can't remember which other scene was edited.

Did I mention that I hate Vivid?

Yep, one was this scene, the other was in a dark alley, with Lenni Ley, he put her upsidedown to make him oral. I think some images of this scene appears on the start or at the end or something, but this scene is not in the DVD.

And what about Shipwreck (92 min) and Shipwrecked (113 min). What's about?. In the 92 min appears John Dough and in the other not... but the other actors and actresses yes.... :-/

Thanks for the info, after looking around the web, I guess this is Vivid's standard m.o. when it comes to their dvds. Anyone here know where I can get copies of the unedited VHS versions of the movies? I ordered from one local merchant and I can not believe this but they apparently copied the DVD version on the VHS format! I know I am new here but I'd be willing to buy a copy off someone here or if anyone can direct me to somewhere I can get copies of the entire versions of Lexus's movies I'd be eternally grateful.

I haven't purchased a VHS tape in ages. I did a search at Adult DVD Empire and they carry this title in VHS but it's "on order" at the moment. Their service is excellent and it looks like you shouldn't have to wait too long hopefully. But I don't know if this tape is the FULL version...

"On Order
Product is out of stock at our warehouse, and has been ordered from the appropriate vendor. "On Order" product is regularly stocked and will be replenished ASAP. Average time to re-stock is 3-7 business days after the product goes out of stock."

Maybe you should inquire in the Shopping section of the forum if no one else can help you here.
