I already e-mailed Marc from Lasersedge about this yesterday but I was wondering if you guys have experienced longer shipping times with Lasersedge recently. Usually it takes around 3 weeks but now I'm waiting for 3 packages which I have not received yet, they were sent to me on:

1/23/2004 (3 DVD's)

1/26/2004 (1 DVD)

1/28/2004 (3 DVD's)

It has happened to me twice that I didn't get my package from Lasersedge, I did get a refund for it but still I hate it when my package get lost, I hope it's not the case this time!

Same here though Marc was On the case, And I received a full credit for the Lost Package.

Though sadly the new titles I ordered Are On back Order!!

and I know that this can Often take a very Long time, I have 1 title that has been On backorder since December 2003.

Iam not complaining but I wish the stores would Just show the Items they have In stock And not Just the general catalog they have.

Thanks for the credit Lasersedge!!!

A missing package late last year ($1.99 shipping), not their fault I guess, but the best part of 3 months from the date of order to get the credit posted to the account was not amusing. Re-ordered ($5 shipping, which was recommended by Marc although I could establish whether this was due to being quicker or more secure) - 2 weeks 2mrw in the waiting and counting. Since I normally expect 2 1/2 weeks for the cheaper bog standard USPS I am not amused about this either.

yes same here guys, I placed an order for 4 dvds middle of November, lasersedge split them into 2 packages, 1 arrived the other did not, decent enough of them to offer me a credit for the 2 which did not turn up, I just used the credit to re-order the 2 titles again, they shipped on 26/1/-4 and so far no sign of the replacements either, starting to get worried and slightly annoyed.

As mentioned in another post, I have recently received my first order from Lasersedge (placed early-mid February), and it took 16 days total (i.e. inc. weekends) to arrive.

I hope my 3 packages are not lost again, if so than I will have to draw my conclusion and stop buying from Lasersedge. I can't take the risk especially when there are companies like AdultDVDNow and AdultDVDToday out there who ship very fast and have the same prices as Lasersedge.

I think Lasersedge should start their own investigation about their missing packages because it's not normal.

I ordered from Laser's Edge recently, and the shipment was split into 4 parts due to backorders etc. The first three arrived just fine, though I'm waiting on the 4th part still, (2 dvds) sent 2 1/2 weeks ago (12 Feb) so I'm hoping it shows up this week.

cheers,

I got a reply from Lasersedge today:

"Yeah, it is taking significantly longer. We are in the process of obtaining a new mail handler and it should significantly increase the delivery speed. (To around 7 days!) this is still in the works and may not take effect for a few more weeks.

I am still negotiating with the mail handler for the best rate/service.

In the meantime, give it a little while longer.

My reply from earlier today seems to have disappeared...

To recap - I got the final part of my order yesterday making it just under 3 weeks in transit.

Yesterday I got a package from Lasersedge which was shipped to me on Febuari 16 but still no sign of the 3 packages that were sent to me in Januari :-(

I really wonder what happens with missing packages.

I'm still waiting for one to the UK that was despatched on January 5th. Did you just use the "contact us" part of the web-form? In the UK, at least if customs seize it you get a letter from them. I've had no letter, so my package has just gone AWOL?

I have the same problem. I ordered Sodomy Sandwiches back in December 2003 and Anal Expedition in January 2004. They haven't been shipped yet.

On the website it does not say which movies are in stock so how are we supposed to now which movie to buy.

If it only took 2 or 3 weeks it would be ok, but it can be a matter of months.

Is it possible to change that in the future??

Lange (and Whitestar). I agree that it's a pain when things are backorderd for a long time. One option open to you when you have an item backordered for quite awhile is to get in contact with the store and ask when they think they'll have it in stock, and if you're not happy with the delay ask that they cancel the title.

I agree that it can be annoying that some stores don't show their stock status, though your question as to whether it can be changed in the future you're better off asking the stores directly about that via email or phone, since there's nothing we can really do here.

cheers,

On the 26th of January 2004 i emailed The Lasers Edge to get to know when Sodomy Sandwishes would be in stock and they said in a few weeks.

But I still haven't heard anything from them. They did offer to cancel the order, but since the movie should be first class I did not want that.

But still that doesn't mean anything. I mean adultdvd69.com often lists titles in stock yet they're not, I only find that out once I order the title and have to wait for them :-(

Nope, I e-mailed Marc directly.

I hope they really check things out about the missing packages because I'm gonna assume they are losing a lot of money because of this!

As I see it, it is a matter of service.

The Lasers Edge offer a good service by shipping internationally for 1,99 USD.

But in Denmark where I live webshops usually inform you if the product is in stock or not. If it is not in stock they normally inform you how long it will take before they get it back in stock.

Why is it different when it comes to adult movies??

It's not. It's all up to to the willingness of the company to keep the stock info up to date or not.

The best online stores to have real-time stock status in my opinion are XRentDVD and Adult DVD Today and I highly recommend both of them.

AdultDVDNow also has a pretty good stock-status.

My original Laser's Edge order was processed on the 29th of December 2003, and my first title shipped then. That took 22 days to arrive. 6 more titles were shipped on the 5th of January 2004, which I'm still waiting for. Also the final title from that order only shipped on the 26th of February. That's a 2 month wait for stock to come in, which is annoying as the title in question was prominently advertised on their page. I used the web-form a few days ago and Marc has been in touch and told me to wait another week for the 5th of January order. Fingers crossed... but I'm not too hopeful. Incidentally he implied that they haven't had much trouble with delivery. Ramsey are you using the $1.99 shipping offer like I am?

Yes I'm also using the $1.99 shipping and I still haven't received those 3 packages sent to me in Januari. I have given up all hopes at this time :-(

My replacement order has now arrived - pretty much on 2 weeks. This is not an excessive amount of time by any stretch of the imagination. However, it is longer than I was lead to believe.

Despite telling me an extra $3 would get me a better result, if what you say is right, it seems that it was known all along that delivery times could be expected to be worse than normal when I placed my order. And I do object to that.

I have made 4 separate orders in the last month or so and it has worked out great for me. All the packages has arrived in about 10-14 days.

I will definitely use them again.

It seems Lasersedge had a problem with the packages sent in Januari, the packages sent in Februari seems to arrive with no problem.

I still have not received the 3 packages which were sent to me in Januari.

Well the order that shipped on the 26th of Feb arrived today, I think its a different carrier to the previous one. Ramsey I think you are right, there must be a problem with DVDs shipped in the January period. I'm giving it until the end of the week before contacting Mike again.

I just got a refund from Lasersedge for the 3 packages from January. Marc also told me they're using a new mail handler since last week so the problem should be solved now.
