A prosecutor decided to prosecute Seymore on the grounds of obscenity for including fisting. Seymore eventually won the case, but not without doing a fair amount of damage to his pocketbook, and his morale. Even though Seymore won, very few producers, and more importantly even fewer distributors, want to run the risk of carrying uncensored fisting in any adult video in the United States for fear of being a target for prosecution. I agree that there are terrible double standards involved when it comes to what lawyers and politicians consider prosecutable in terms of obscenity in the United States... but what'r'ya'gonna'do. It all has to do with the way these things developed, the bumps and eddies along the way, and the way they are continually developing.
